Dancing Mae

Happy Halloween!! I hope you are enjoying yourselves and are getting ready to gorge on all the yummy chocolates the kiddies will be bringing home. Speaking of Halloween, Crafty Sprout's current challenge is Anything Halloween. The prize is 2 DCWV stacks. I think that's a pretty sweet Treat. Make sure you get your entries in by the Nov 3rd.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a Thank You card featuring Dancing Mae from Some Odd Girl. Isn't she a cutie?!!?! She'll make anyone feel happy. Now that the festivities are really beginning, you must remember to start making those Thank You cards.

I used the Peachy Keen Sketch. Ill also be playing with Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for stopping by! Ill be back later with my last Halloween goodness for the year.

 **********
I'm choosing this card as My Best Project of the Week for Week #5. This is a linky party held by Kristy, owner of Some Odd Girl. I chose this one because the image (Dancing Mae) brings a smile to my face everytime I see her. Plus I like that it is a cheerful card and I used colors outseide my comfort zone.

Do I Scream Summer?

Hi Scrappy Friends! Do you ever come across images (digi, stamp or cricut cut) that you like but you feel as if you cant use them because they are seasonal? I do. Do you think it's fair to wait over half a year to be able to use them? I don't. So because of that I like to alter my images to give them new life (whenever I can).

Take this image for example: this is Beachy Tia, a summer image from Some Odd Girl. I decided to omit her body (which is dressed in a bathing suit) and chop off one of her arms. It isn't a drastic change but it's something. So what do you think? Does she still scream Summer? Because in my head, i still see the bathing suit. Lol!

I used the Ink Pink Sketch #8. Ill also be playing with: SOG - B/W and Color. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by :)

Other Materials Used: Prismacolor Pencils. DCWV Cardstock and DP. Prima Flowers. Peapod Twine, The Twinery.

Speaking of Some Odd Girl, Kristy (Owner of SOG) is celebrating her 30th Bday all month long with Awesome Tutorials and Giveaways. There is still time to hop on over to wish Kristy a very Happy Birthday and to link up for a chance to win some goodies.

Good Morning All!! It's Halloween Week over at Crafty Sprouts and we are celebrating each day with daily prizes and daily projects from the DT and Guest Designers.

Today is my day and I bring you a bookmark. I went to Barnes and Noble over the weekend with a friend and her daughter was insisting that she needed another bookmark (to add to the lost collection). Its a lost collection because my friend has bought her over 10 bookmarks in the past month and they all seem to be missing. I think they went on a journey with the lost socks from the dryer. Lol.  Anyways I decided to make her a bookmark to add to her lost collection. Since she is already a pre-teen I wanted to make it a bit fancy and interactive. The sentiment moves around. Now when she comes to a part of the book that she finds boring, well she will have something to distract her for a few moments. Lol.

I will be playing with Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes.

Other Material Used: DCWV DP and CS. Twine, The Twinery. Prismacolor Pencils.
That's all for the moment. Make sure you leave some bloggy love (Here, Crafty Sprouts, Kristy and Guest Julie) for your chance to win the daily prize.

Hope To Cling To

Happy Weekend! I hope that you are enjoying yourselves wherever you may be. Ok so I'm slowly making progress in my stack of cards that will be donated to the "Hope To Cling To" event. This organization sends a little cheer to patients that are currently dealing with Breast Cancer and when it comes to that, I always want to be involved in one way or another. I'm hoping to complete the quota (1 card a day) but so far I'm behind by like 15 days. Lol.
