Hello Bloggers!! Some Odd Girl held a FB Fun Day today. There were challenges, prizes, tutorials and lots of discounts. They also had a scavenger hunt which was pretty cool with a fun image as the prize.

The first mini challenge of the day was to create our own embellishments. 

I used the butterfly technique for my project.

The main challenge of the event was to color up a SOGgy with a non-traditional color. I was going for a Magenta Pink hair do but I'm cringing as I see that her hair looks reddish in this light. I used one too many different tones and so I may have failed the assignment. Lol.

"Surprise" Birthday Set

Happy Saturday! I've been off the blogger grid as it's been pretty chaotic on my end but since things are beginning to settle down it was time to get a little crafty. I decided to stock up on my birthday cards. My goal is to have enough for a birthday calendar once Christmas rolls around.

I pulled out my OA Surprise set from The Greeting Farm. They are just too cute!

Graphicat Sketch #9: Terribly Late...Naughty

Happy Memorial Day!! This is the kick off to Summer and what a beautiful day it is. But let's put a pause on all the B-B-Q'ng and Pool jumping for a minute and give thanks to all the brave troops that have fought for us and for all the ones that continue to do so.

Today is also the beginning of a new sketch over at Graphicat Sketch Challenge. Here is my take on the challenge. It may seem like it's not there but I promise that it is, just peel off the layers of flowers. Lol. 

I, again, used my favorite Hatter from Tickled Pink Stamps. He comes from Lil Perfect Match line, which by the way is 40% off. I was inspired by his top hat, which is why I added on to the front and one to the inside. The sentiment I used on the front, is one of my favorite lines of the movie. It's in the scene when Alice is arriving to the Tea Party. (This is not a digi, I typed it up myself).

For the inside of my card, I used one of Hatter's famous quote. This sentiment digi is called "Why Is A Raven" and can be found at the Graphicat Store.

Not Too Shabby for Tickled Pink Stamps

Happy Sunday! This week Tickled Pink Stamps is proudly sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge where the theme is "Not too Shabby - Shabby Chic or Vintage Style" . I went for a Shabby Chic look. I'll always been a little lost as to what constitutes Shabby Chic or Vintage but I found a trick to it. Find a stack that you love that could pass off as that look, I chose DCWV Preppy Princess then add pearls and lace (I couldn't find my lace so I substituted) and voila, you have tricked yourself into a shabby chic look, lol.

For my image I used Party Pinkette Coraline, one of my favorite Pinkettes. She's great for all your birthday cards and once you cut off the balloon, for other projects as well. Happy Thursday!! It's going to be a very hot and nice day today. Hopefully the weather is warming up on your side. So onto my cards, I'm here with a few generic cards featuring my beloved Greeting Farm stamps. It was time to dust off my stamps, I had been ignoring them :( lol. These will be great for when I'm in a bind and  need a Birthday, Thank you or Whatever card.  Plus, I'm really trying to make a dent in my scraps. I've accumulated a smile pile on my table and I just want to get through all that, I need my space back. :)

If you are new to the farm and you would like to start off with a nice set, I highly recommend this one. Sure its a big purchase off the bat but it's worth it, you'll get a lot for your money.

SOG Fun with a little Tiddly Love

Happy Saturday Night!!! How are you enjoying your evening? I should be organizing and packing but instead I decided to create a bright and cheery card using Roller Mae to play along with Some Odd Girl. Today was a special day of Facebook Funday for SOG where discounts, tutorials and lots of SOGgy love were found.

I used the Sketch from the SOG Sketch Challenge. 

Materials Used: Prismacolor Markers. DCWV Stacks. Twinery Twine.

I also have a little Tiddly card inspired by the Mom's challenge over at Tiddly Inks. This one was made for my mom from her little princess, who is no longer me, lol! I've been replaced by my niece, oh well circle of life. Hehehe.
