May Release Preview Day 1: ANYA SHOPS

Happy first day of Preview! Today we start showcasing the MAY Release, which will be available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store on Sunday, May 15th. We will also be having a New Release Blog Hop on that day were 1 lucky person will win the entire release!

Today, we are previewing a new big Anya who is joining the farm with all her shopping bags and is appropriately named ANYA SHOPS! As always, Anya comes with lots of sentiments in a 4x6 set and is great for cheer up cards, along with friendship projects.  As for my card, I was inspired by the old black and white movies and played up her pencil, high waist skirt (which can also be seen as a dress). Even though, Anya is a cutesy character she can also be sophisticated ;)

Now its time to head over to the TGF Blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you. See you tomorrow for day 2. Thanks for stopping by!

Our Fate Lies Within...

Happy Wednesday! I'm here today to share an altered composition notebook made for school. It features the Sweet Frou Frou greeting farm girl with an empowering quote:

Our fate lies within us.
You only have to be brave enough to see it.
-Brave. Pixar.

This quote was chosen so that it can remind the recipient to always be brave in whatever she does and to not be afraid of the unknown. I'm hoping that seeing the message daily, it'll ingrain itself into her psyche. A wonderful way to start the new school year.

Since today is my day over on the Quick Creations blog/shop make you sure you hop over where you'll find my post along with the materials I used linked to the shop. While there make sure you take a look around as Noelle is currently having a Back to School Sale.
Thanks for stopping by!

Make It Colorful

Hello! I'm here to quickly share a toki doki inspired piece. When I first saw this giraffe, which comes from a baby theme stamp set, I found it super adorable and used it as intended. You can see my previous card here. However it reminded me a character already out there and after a little googling, I realized that "Buttercup" the toy story unicorn that came to mind was much to simple for this giraffe to be transformed into. So after spying my niece's toki backpack, I was inspired by the unicorn Stellina and came up with this. This card will be for my niece, its a go get them type of card as she's had a couple of rough days at school. Ok, so now I'm off to find a very cool area as the temps here are rising and continue to do so for the nest few days. Yikes!
Thanks for stopping by.

A Royal Hello

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was full of fun and sunshine. I'm here today to continue the new Greeting Farm Series that is happening over at Quick Creations. Noelle is promoting several stamp companies and I got The Greeting Farm, woohoo! My character is Ian, so for the next few QC posts, its going to be all about him with some Anya thrown in the mix.

My previous Ian post was about him and Anya riding the waves, very summer appropriate. But now, they have put their bathing suits aside to look prim and proper and attend the ball of the season. I just finished reading a cutesy book titled "Flunked" that takes place in Enchantasia and its all about villains and thieves trying to reform themselves. It's a great twist on the princesses, villains and what happened after the happily ever after was said and done. The main characters, who is a brunette and prince with purple eye, inspired my coloring of Ian and Anya. My prince doesn't have purple eyes but everything else around him is, so that counts :) I hope this inspires you to get crafty. Thanks for stopping by.

My supplies have been linked to QC Shop and while there make sure to check out the Sale that is currently happening.

Quick Creation May Day Hop

Happy Friday! It is the 1st of May and that means it's AVENGERS day. YAY!!!!! Captain America here I come. Heheh :) Today also means that you have a chance to win a gift certificate just by hopping along a few blogs. Noelle, owner of Quick Creations, is hosting a May Day hop to get you inspired to create some flowery and/or Mother's day inspired projects. There will be 2 winners, each will get a $10 gc.

Our theme for the hop is Mother's Day and/or flowers so I went for a flower theme. I kept my card clean and general because I intend to send it off as a Thank You card to someone that was very helpful. This cutie is from The Greeting Farm  who brings her own couch :) along with some sentiments, magazine and lemonade drink. And because the weather has been Summer temperature here, I thought i'd give her some cute sun spots (aka freckles).  Its my first time and I'm hoping that I can recreate them again.

A Creeper Birthday

I can't believe it! I managed to get another card done. lol. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is raining here!!!! The clouds opened up and descended upon Los Angeles. Its quite beautiful but very unique (for us). I even saw some pieces of icy halo early this morning on the freeway.

I'm beginning to accumulate images that I have colored and I am trying to keep that under control. It's great to have ready to go images but it can be harder to then try to match up your paper to them. I read a crazy thing, suggesting I should gather up my papers first but really, who wants to make it easy for themselves. heheh :) This card was inspired by a blog post I read by Carri (A Busy Bee), who is on a mission to use up her scraps. The idea is inspired by Lala's Project 2011 to use up my scraps. I'm always up for getting rid of my scraps since my space doesn't allow for extras/overflow.

I used Creeper Crew Tuesday who is perfect for crazy hair coloring experimentation. She, along with the rest of the creepers, are perfect for the kid inspired sentiments from Inkadinkadoo. They both have that sass :) I also wanted to take the time to admit that I'm a TGF lover. I'm totally on board with that company and all its images. Oh oh :) Thanks for stopping by/commenting.
