Snow and Cocoa Inspired

Happy Thursday farm friends, I'm on the TGF bog with a "Snow and Cocoa" inspired post. The absolute super cute pink and colorful winter-christmas line released by Crate Paper has been very popular amongst us crafters and thus has been extremely hard to find. Everywhere I look, most of it is sold out and so I decided to be inspired by the line and by an  ephemera piece in particular. This greeting farm polar bear from the set "Let It Snow" was perfect to recreate the bear tag (seen in the top picture), I like a lot from the ephemera pack.

I created my tags by: stamping the bear with black ink, creating a mask for the bear and applying it to the tag, using distress inks of various aqua shades and pink and then stamping the mini stars found on the stamp set. This doesn't require much coloring as the bear is stark white but you can opt for minor shading as I did.  These are quick, simple and great for mass production.  Now its your turn to give it a go. I hope it's snowing wherever you find yourself.

Farm Fresh Challenge: Office Supplies

Happy September! It's that time again to bring you some farmer inspiration for the new farmer monthly challenge. The theme is... Office Supplies.  It's the month to celebrate Back to School time. For many of you, many of the kids are already in school learning 2+2 or perhaps something a little harder: like what the heck is "x"? hehe. It seems so unnatural to start school so early on (cuts right into summer) but it is what it is so we want to see you use office supplies on your projects. Think of paper clips, staples, notebook paper, tags (such as myself) so go for it!

My inspiration for you this month are tags, something that I enjoy creating. I grabbed a couple of different sets and used them to make some cute, semi-quick tags to attach to a few supplies teachers need. Make sure to click over to the TGF blog to see what the rest of the farmers created for you. You will also find the guidelines there so you can play along with us.

July Release Preview Day 4: POP OUT CHRISTMAS

Hi, I'm back with our last day of July previews. They have all been super cute so far, am i right? Today, we are previewing the set POP OUT CHRISTMAS, which is all about the Christmas icons. They were created in a semi-chibi form tho which makes them look even cuter. If you add some wobbles to the back of these icons, they will look super adorbs shaking about. As you can see, I created layered tags which will make the gifts pop.

Just as a reminder, the release is happening tomorrow and will be available for purchase at The Greeting Farm Store. Wwill also be having a New Release Blog Hop were 1 lucky person will win the entire release! Yay!! Now its time to head over to the TGF Blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you. Thanks for stopping by!

Springtime Tags

Hello Farm Friends! Today is my day to share on the Greeting Farm blog and I have a project featuring the new spring set - Miss Anya Spring. In case you missed it, this was a special release that happened on the first day of Spring. Aren't they cuties?!! They look ready to have a fun night out at their Spring formal. Click here to check out that post, featuring my prom theme card.

My inspiration for my project came from the idea of Spring - soft, blooming colors. Instead of flowers tho, I chose to represent that with the watercolor look (which, btw, is so in at the moment). You can write directly over the image and the color and still have your writing be legible and your image come through.

Now its your turn to find your inspiration and start creating your.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Greeting Farm March Release Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s finally here…..RELEASE DAY at The Greeting Farm for the new March stamps: I LOVE DAD, I LOVE MOM and MON AMIE ANYA!! We had previews of these awesome stamps over the last few days on the TGF Blog, and NOW they are available in The Greeting Farm Store. Since it’s Release Day we are having a BLOG HOP, where 1 lucky person will win this entire release!

Here is my project for you, a pair of shaker tags. Last release I created a shaker card and why break my pattern? hehe. I thought these would be fun tags to attach to small gifts or happy mail. They took a while to create (as I had to make sure none of the sequins would fall out) but they can be easily recreated. I used both the I Love Dad and I Love Mom stamp and die cut sets for this. Both sets worked great together because they sentiments and images go with one another.
Now you're off to see what Lizzy created for you.

Be sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog and then head back to the TGF Blog to let us know you completed the hop. You have until Friday, March 18th at 12pm CST to leave your comments on the TGF Blog. We will announce the random winner next week!

Sweetest Things

Happy Wednesday! I'm here today to share a trio of creations I made using the Baby Anya and Ian set. This set is just completely adorable because, obviously you get both male and female babies but you also get the most adorable giraffe ever. These babies look great together or separate. I began with the tag (keeping the gift in mind) and then used the same technique to create a card. I did this to have a cohesive look so I could use them together, if need be.

In regards to the giraffe card, I was aiming for a back to school look/encouragement card but I may have failed in that aspect. Lol. I created it with  my niece in mind (as she is still into cutesy images such as this one) but when I asked what she thought, she said it looked like it was made for a baby :) So the sentiment didn't seem to make an impact and it looks like Ill need to change it.

Since today is my day over on the Quick Creations blog/shop make you sure you hop over where you'll find my post along with the materials I used linked to the shop. While there make sure you take a look around as Noelle is currently having a Back to School Sale.
Thanks for stopping by

TGF Guest Designer: Week 3

Hi friends, I'm back with a new project featuring the cute new TGF critters that were released earlier this month. Today, I bring you a set of tags. These tags can be used in different ways, such as birthday tags, name tags and/or to write a little note. As you see, I used one of them to create a mail tag - which is part of my project for my last week as a guest designer. Click here to see last weeks post where I used the deer for a birthday tag.

These critte are great for projects like these because you get a good amount of images to choose from. The sets featured are 'Hoppy Hello', 'Wood Friends' and 'Cuddly Thanks'. You can click on over to the greeting farm blog to check out my post along with other tips and tutorials.

Simply Sunday: Vintage

** Click the link to join the MAD TEA PARTY, Altered Alice Style**

Hi Scrappy Friends. I am here today with my first Simply Sunday Challenge for Getting Cricky. I am very happy to be part of Kristal's team. She is an amazing person and kind spirit to be around that of course I would want to be on her team. Ok, enough of the mushy stuff. Lol.

We are here today to kick off Team B's debut challenge. This week's challenge is Vintage Appeal. Now I feel as I may be missing some lace or something but I think the idea of Vintage has changed from what it once was. And we need to thank Mr. Timmy for that because now Vintage isn't just an outdated notion but a touch of old with a modern and distressed look (at least it is for me).

I created a tag bookmark (I just love this shape) using one of my favorite, if not The Favorite, Tickled Pink Stamps. This Gorgeous! bad ass gal is Victorian Steampunk Lilith. She looks like she is ready to take on anything and kick some major ---. hehehe. I just Love that about her!!

So now its your turn to come up with your Vintage funkied version. I cant wait to see them!!

I will be playing with:
Tickled Pinks Stamps- Anything Goes and the TPS FB Group Challenge.
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Favorite Stamp

Valentine Theme

Happy Wednesday! For today's post, I have Valentine/Love Inspired Theme projects for you. Usually when Valentine is mentioned or marketed, the first thing that comes to mind is romantic love, spouse, partner, etc and they tend to forget that there are many singles out there. So my projects are in honor of all the singles out there. Hey, they need love too :D

I decided to show two completely different methods you can use for your projects. Of course these projects were inspired by the recipients and they have completely different tastes but I wanted to show you that Valentine inst only about Pink and Red. I did, however, keep a little of me in there and used a touch of Paris. I find the whole theme of Paris to be very romantic and hopeful.

Picture 1: "Friendship Inspired with a touch of Paris"

Picture 2: A2 Size Card
Flirty Anya from the Greeting Farm
Picture 3:  As you can see this card is very Valentine Inspired with the reds and pinks.

I will be playing with:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Photo Inspiration
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes + Flowers
Simon Says Stamp - Love Is In the Air
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Love Is In the Air
Paper Play Challenges - Stamp It Out

Picture 4: Bookmark Tag
30's Lylah from Tickled Pink Stamps

Picture 5: This tag/bookmark is vintage inspired. I have been playing around with that method because I like the look of it for certain items.
This is also the first time I try making a rosette. They are simple to make but a pain to assemble. Sooo its a toss up.

I will be playing along with:
Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge - Vintage
Jitterbugging Challenge - Non Traditional Valentine

Flaunt It Fridays: Pup + Kitty and more

After taking 2 weeks off, I'm back for Flaunt It Fridays. This week we are working with the Pup & Kitty border from Paper Pups (page 104). As always, if you don't own the cartridge you can improvise (like I did). I still used an image from Paper Pups but I know that some of my DT sisters used other cartridges to make it work this week. Make sure you head over to check out their work.

Picture 1:
I created this tag for my niece's V-Day class project. I kept it very simple because (1) It needs to be reproduced for 20+ kids and (2) They are kids. lol. They won't appreciate all the hard work or extra embellishments. All they will care about are the goodies that will be attached to the tag.

Recipe
Tag - Walk In My Garden, Pup and Kitty - Paper Pups. (*I don't own these carts but I found these cuts on the Cricut Sampler Cartridge).
Friends and Oval Frame - A Child's Year

I would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all my new Scrappy Friends/Followers. I'm very happy to see that you liked my gothic cutie b-day card enough to click follow. I enjoy coloring digis and rubber stamps as much as I enjoy the cricut so I will be bringing you more coloring/cricut creations. If you ever have any questions regarding my coloring or anything, feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email.

Frog Tag

My sister's birthday is on Saturday and I wanted to create a cute frog prince theme for her card, tag, etc. I'll post a picture of her birthday card when I'm done tweaking it. Does anyone know how to make an envelope for an Easel Card?? How do I mail it?

I'm also entering this tag in Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. Her challenge of the week is 'Animal Theme'. Ive been wanting to enter Emma's challenges for a while now, but I can never seem to. I always run out of time. So this is my first entry but def not my last. I like the fact that I get to use my cricut and most of the time we can do a project of our choice. So yay!
