"Snow and Cocoa" Inspired, p.2

Happy Friday farm friends, I'm on the TGF blog with another "Snow and Cocoa" inspired post. As you know, the Crate and Paper line is sooo cute with its pinks and blues but that also means that its really popular and sold out pratically every where.  Yesterday's project was inspired by a polr bear tag found in the ephemera pack.

Todays project was inpired by the whole line. I took elements from different pieces and used them as inspiration. I created 4 cards size 3x4 which I found  were the perfect size to play and experiment. Plus, they are perfect for a DD album or for project life. I used several greeting farm sets for this project. I like looking at all the smaller stamps on the sets because they can be used to create awesome mini projects.  I hope you found inspiration here and give it a go to create your own set. Happy weekend!

Farm Fresh Challenge: Office Supplies

Happy September! It's that time again to bring you some farmer inspiration for the new farmer monthly challenge. The theme is... Office Supplies.  It's the month to celebrate Back to School time. For many of you, many of the kids are already in school learning 2+2 or perhaps something a little harder: like what the heck is "x"? hehe. It seems so unnatural to start school so early on (cuts right into summer) but it is what it is so we want to see you use office supplies on your projects. Think of paper clips, staples, notebook paper, tags (such as myself) so go for it!

My inspiration for you this month are tags, something that I enjoy creating. I grabbed a couple of different sets and used them to make some cute, semi-quick tags to attach to a few supplies teachers need. Make sure to click over to the TGF blog to see what the rest of the farmers created for you. You will also find the guidelines there so you can play along with us.

TGF Special Halloween Release Day

Happy Friday everyone! It’s here…..RELEASE DAY for the surprise Halloween stamp sets and their coordinating dies.  We had two days of previews (Scaredy Cats and Peek-a-Boo) and they are now available for purchase at The Greeting Farm Store.  Below is a reminder of my preview projects.

And now onto my  release day project... because I created cards for previews, I wanted to create an envelope to send one of the cards in. We as card makers get so focused on the cards that we forget that plain white envelopes don't do the cards justice and that they deserve "tricked out" envelopes. hehe. I used a combination of both stamp sets on the envelope, going for a batsy, semi-spooky theme while making sure to keep the cute and cuddly.

Now for the even more fun part, with every new release all farm friends get the chance to win their very own stamp sets so make sure you hop on over to The Greeting Farm for some trick or treating. Good Luck!

July Release Preview Day 4: POP OUT CHRISTMAS

Hi, I'm back with our last day of July previews. They have all been super cute so far, am i right? Today, we are previewing the set POP OUT CHRISTMAS, which is all about the Christmas icons. They were created in a semi-chibi form tho which makes them look even cuter. If you add some wobbles to the back of these icons, they will look super adorbs shaking about. As you can see, I created layered tags which will make the gifts pop.

Just as a reminder, the release is happening tomorrow and will be available for purchase at The Greeting Farm Store. Wwill also be having a New Release Blog Hop were 1 lucky person will win the entire release! Yay!! Now its time to head over to the TGF Blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you. Thanks for stopping by!

Believe in Magic

Hi all! I'm on the TGF blog today with a Peter Pan inspired piece. When I saw the mermaids, I knew right away that they would be great for creating this type of scene. The way they are drawn allowed me to place them as if they're just hanging about, enjoying each others company and listening to Pan play his flute.  Since this piece is loosely based on the mermaid scene from that movie, Pan is a fairy and she has no flute ;)

Now unfortunately, the Little Mermaids and Little Fairies sets are currently sold out but they will be back in the store in no time. To make sure that you don't miss out when they are back in stock, hop on over to the TGF Shop and sign up to be notified.

Stick It with TGF

Hi there, Im on the TGF blog today with a bit of TGF sticker inspiration.  The adorable minis totally lend themselves for this type of project. They are the perfect size to use in your planners, journals as well as for cards or tags. This was a fun little project that I was able to work on in an afternoon and it didn't require much. I found sticker labels to use, pulled out my markers and stamped away using a slick resistant ink pad.  After I was done, I die cut them out, placed them in a mini envelope that goes with my planner and I was done. I now have mini Anyas and totally adorable pets for my planner. Plus, what's great about these mini sets is that you can do quick sketch coloring or color as you usually do. I hope this has inspired you to look at your tgf images in a different way and create something today.

Let's Plan with TGF

Hi friends, today is my day on The Greeting Farm blog and I'm there sharing a planner project. I know the planner craze is currently happening everywhere and  there are many different stamp sets, planners, paper etc to choose from and use but I wanted to show you that you can use your lovable greeting farm images as well. They weren't necessarily made for planners but why let that stop me or you?  As far as planners go, I use a Moleskin one and if you aren't familiar with planners (or that brand) then they are look like a journal (see in the picture), they are hardbound, they have no rings and therefore I can not insert extra pages to it. Additionally, moleskin planners do not bring a monthly overview calendar every 4-5 weeks so I decided to create my own.

** Just an fyi, this project is still currently a work in progress. My goal was to finish earlier this year but I just kind of went with the flow and used them as you see them here. They aren't even labeled with their month. However, I will continue to color them and work on them every chance I get. **

I browsed the greeting farm images and chose those that would represent that month for me. I then cropped them, angled them - pretty much played around with the look of the image and calendar until I was happy with it. Now, I have monthly overview calendar sheets that I can adhere to my planner. And if you remember, this isn't the first time I have used greeting farm images to create planner items. At the beginning of the year I created magnetic bookmarks and paper clips using the January release. There's also a sneak peek of stickers I created using the new mini clear sets.

Ps. If you create your own calendar, keep your coloring light. This way you don't have a hard time with the day/dates.

Springtime Tags

Hello Farm Friends! Today is my day to share on the Greeting Farm blog and I have a project featuring the new spring set - Miss Anya Spring. In case you missed it, this was a special release that happened on the first day of Spring. Aren't they cuties?!! They look ready to have a fun night out at their Spring formal. Click here to check out that post, featuring my prom theme card.

My inspiration for my project came from the idea of Spring - soft, blooming colors. Instead of flowers tho, I chose to represent that with the watercolor look (which, btw, is so in at the moment). You can write directly over the image and the color and still have your writing be legible and your image come through.

Now its your turn to find your inspiration and start creating your.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Greeting Farm March Release Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s finally here…..RELEASE DAY at The Greeting Farm for the new March stamps: I LOVE DAD, I LOVE MOM and MON AMIE ANYA!! We had previews of these awesome stamps over the last few days on the TGF Blog, and NOW they are available in The Greeting Farm Store. Since it’s Release Day we are having a BLOG HOP, where 1 lucky person will win this entire release!

Here is my project for you, a pair of shaker tags. Last release I created a shaker card and why break my pattern? hehe. I thought these would be fun tags to attach to small gifts or happy mail. They took a while to create (as I had to make sure none of the sequins would fall out) but they can be easily recreated. I used both the I Love Dad and I Love Mom stamp and die cut sets for this. Both sets worked great together because they sentiments and images go with one another.
Now you're off to see what Lizzy created for you.

Be sure to leave a comment on each designer’s blog and then head back to the TGF Blog to let us know you completed the hop. You have until Friday, March 18th at 12pm CST to leave your comments on the TGF Blog. We will announce the random winner next week!

Tip Me Tuesday with Prismacolor Pencils, part2

Hi friends! I'm back on the tgf blog with another Tip me Tuesday Post where the farmers show you their favorite copic color combos. I'm doing it with a little twist as I am a Prismacolor Pencil girl so you'll get to see how I work. Today I bring you Rock On Green. I listed the colors in the order that I used them so you can give it a try. I laid down my colors twice and I did not use any mineral spirits/gamsol.  ** As a side note: because you're building layers, try to keep your hand light, meaning don't press too hard. This will allow you to build up layers without much wax. I did go over the darker areas several times**

I used one of the creepers from the 2nd Creeper Kit that was released in 2013ish. Unfortunately, I realized after I used him, that this set is no longer available. However there are other creepers found in the tgf shop that are similar, such as CC Sunday, CC Saturday or CC James.  Honestly, I think any of the creepers are perfect for crazy hair colors. Ok, that is all for today and I hope you found some inspiration here. Please let me know if you're interested in seeing any other color combos.

PS. If you want to check out my first TMT Post featuring Manic Purple, click here.

A Merbean Tote

Hello Farm Friends! Today is my day to share on the Greeting Farm blog and I have  a mermaid theme project for you.  I was in need of a new library/book bag, as my previous had torn, so I took myself to the store to find a canvas tote. Now at first, it worked out fine but I soon realized that it was much too drab and boring for my books - plus it was getting lost among all my market bags- so I came up with this. I blew up Leela Merbean in a word document and printed her out, several times. I then cut out the image in several stages and used them as templates to get the image and paint on the tote. Now, to make it a little easier for myself, I ignored her crown and didn't add it to the tote.  I created a bit of scenery and gave her a pink ocean to swim in. To finish the tote, I wrote in one of Melville's quote that is inspiring and on point with the ocean life.
Her merpal, Coralina Merbean was used for the "if lost, please return to" tag seen on the upper right side. She was printed on heavy watercolor 140lb paper to make sure that the tag will uphold to the wear and tear that is to follow.  I hope that my project inspires you to use your images in fun and funky ways.
Thanks for stopping by!

January Release Preview Day 3 - EGGSTRA SPECIAL

Happy Wednesday! We are on our 3rd and final day of Previews for our JANUARY Release, which will be available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store on Friday, January 15th. Don’t forget, we will have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th where 1 lucky person will win this entire release!!

Today, we are previewing this adorable set called EGGSTRA SPECIAL! This set is full of Easter goodness such as bunnies-chicks-eggs-etc. The set also has a matching die set (sold seperately) but is great if you don't like to fussy cut.

I decided to make a set of planner/paper clips. Its much too soon for me to think of Easter :) but you can't go wrong with having bunny and chick accessories in your life :) wouldn't have been able to make these bookmarks without the dies (as that made it easy to line up everything). So if this is something you want to make, don't forget to purchase the matching die set.

Now its time to head over to the TGF Blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you.

January Release Preview Day 2 - DOLLIE WITH LETTER

Happy Tuesday! We are on our 2nd day of Previews for our JANUARY Release, which will be available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store on Friday, January 15th. Don’t forget, we will have a New Release Blog Hop on the 15th where 1 lucky person will win this entire release!!

Today, we are previewing this cute Dollie with Letter! She looks so cute and romantic reading her letter. This set is full Dollie goodness that can work for Valentine as well as other non-holiday projects. This set comes with several sentiments as well as some extra small stamps such as an envelope and the flower/heart seen on the bag.

I created some packaging with this Dollie, using red as my main hue. I stamped the flower heart all over the small muslin bag using memento ink (if you try this, make sure to insert a piece of cardstock into the bag to provide stability). I stamped her on a tag, using the same red ink and did some light coloring with my pencils. I really like this monochromatic look, its something different. I finished it off by stamping the "hello, to/from" sentiments and attaching a homemade tassel. This is perfect to surprise someone with a few crafty goodies or small gift.

Now its time to head over to the TGF Blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you.
Thanks for stopping by!

When I first saw this set, it reminded me of My Little Pony and I knew I wanted to create some accessories to carry with me. And here they are, a set of magnetic bookmarks.
