Smile, its Valentine

Hi there! Today is my day on the Quick Creations Blog with Valentine theme projects.  I decide to go with a shabby chic look for this my valentine, as its not meant to be romantic and more of a friendship card. It features the latest Dollie from The Greeting Farm. She is a super cute Valentine girl with all her hearts but I think she would look great on Hello cards or Birthday cards or anything really. So make sure you add her to your collection and by any chance if you don't have any, gasp! she'd be a great way to start.
My second project is a tag that ill be adding to my gift bag. It features this adorable Kitty from Cottage Cutz. This kitty brings a bee outfit and a flower with him but I thought Id leave him naked and furry just as intended, lol. You can pick this up and all the products used on my projects in the Quick Creations Shop. While there, make sure to take a look around as you'll find lots of great items at amazing prices.
Thanks for stopping by!

Caution... Anti-Valentine

Happy Friday!! It is going to be gorgeous today, up into the late 70s, a great start to the fun and busy weekend that's going to happen.

Ok so it 's Feb.1st and Valentine is around the corner. Oh not a fan of V-day you say, well neither is my little grumpy ballerina. Lol. These are some fun new anti-valentine sentiments from Graphicat Designs. The sentiment here is Caution, I Dont Do Vday.

My second card is my sample for the current Graphicat sketch (#20). You still have time to play along and if you do, you'll receive the girl digi, Prisoner of Love as a freebie. Cheri is giving it away to all participants. She looks a little pathetic but that's whats so great about her. Lol. The sentiment on this card is Happy Unimaginative Day.

Well that's it for me. Have an amazing Friday. Thanks for stopping by!

Fancy Chocolate Holder

First off... Let me apologize for the quality of the photos.  I was too busy out enjoying our weather, 79 degrees thank you very much lol, that I didn't make it home on time to have nice sun-lit pictures. They'll be replaced tomorrow. EDITED to add newly taken pictures.

(back)

(Space for greeting)

(Where chocolate slides out)

So yes, Happy Sunday!!! I'm excited that tomorrow is a holiday as I'm still trying to fight off my cold. I'm hoping that some rest and a good dose of sun from tomorrow will finally be the end of this cold. Fingers crossed.

I have another fancy chocolate holder for you. I made one last year for Halloween and my friend loved it sooo much I thought I would make her another one. Although after seeing how this one turned out I'm debating on wether to keep it or not. You know when you make something that you're really proud off and you want to make it one of your to keep pieces. I don't have many of those, I think I have about 2 that I cant seem to part with so if I do keep this one, well then that make #3. I guess that's not bad considering if we keep everything we make then it'll be never ending. Lol.

Ok so for this one, I changed it up slightly. I changed the layout of my attachment, changed out the chocolate (used a special one I got from San Francisco) added flowers, embellishments and I also added dp to the back. Plus I used some extremely awesome kraft paper that sadly I only have 2 sheets of. It's a no name brand I picked up a while back and I still can't find paper that is equally sturdy and nice looking.

Side Note** If you ever plan on making one of these, make sure you use extremely sturdy card stock and reinforce it from all sides. Oh and you must use great sticky tape, be it red tape or score tape or something equally good.

OK Ladies enjoy the rest of your Sunday. As for me, I'm off to LAX but I'll be back tomorrow with a new Graphicat project and to play blog catch up.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Have a Rockin' Bday

Happy Friday!! It is time for a brand new Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at the Farm. The theme for this week is Paaaaarrrteeeyyyyy! My teamie Melissa was in charge this week and she was throwing herself a goodbye party as our term will be ending at the end of this year. Sniff, sniff. Time has gone by too quickly.

Any-hoo. I created a birthday card for my friends son. He will be celebrating in a few weeks and he was crazy about the card I made for him last year that I made this one a little extra special. Last year I kind of just slapped something together thinking he would toss it to the side after tearing it open. But I was wrong.

I hope you have a Rockin' weekend like CC James here.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Small Halt to Christmas

Happy Wednesday!! Today is my day to showcase on The Greeting Farm blog and I thought I'd put a small halt to all the Christmas madness. Lol! I know that we are less than a month to go before I'm rummaging under the tree hoping Santa brought me a spanking brand new iPad mini. I was so against it at first but it wasn't long before I said to myself, Jess you need an iPad mini. First of all, your iPad needs a companion, lol, and second it will be easier to carry around. So yeah, here I am hoping Santa deems I was a good girl. :)

Any-hoo, as I said Christmas is here but here in So-Cal it is as warm as it can be. The weather has been very nice, even beach weather that I'm refusing to accept that we will be fa-la-la-lin' soon. So on that note, here is a very girly and pink card featuring Anya Latte. I made this card with Valentine day in mind to give to my best gal friend. She's not the type of gal that wears pink but she is the type of gal that loves her coffee so it all works out.

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time.

Edited to add: Here's a quickie card showing you how to use up your colored images that you may have laying around. I have several and I'm constantly trying to use them up. However always have the same problem, what dp should I use. I don't want to rummage through all my stacks so I make it easy on myself and use a neutral base such as white or kraft and then add one or two embellishments. And voila, I'm done :)

Happy Tuesday All!! Today is a new DTT challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog. This week we have a color challenge for you, the colors are Light Pink, Sage Green, Baby Blue and White (but I made a boo-boo and used much brighter colors, whoops lol). I used the fabulous new Anya Styles for the card. The sentiment is one of the 2 sentiments that comes with her. I hope you get to play along.

The Greeting Farm is spreading the Love

Happy Friday!! I'm here with a long-ish post :) ...

TGF is spreading the love this Thanksgiving holiday. Jessica and Marie are very thankful and feel blessed for what they have and they wanted to show gratitude with a special Thanksgiving challenge.
The Challenge: Create a card or project with the theme of Thankfulness. You must use a TGF image to play along. Once you enter your card, please send Jessica a private email and nominate a person you might know that is a little down on their luck, struggling financially, etc. Please note that TGF will not share the name of the recipient you nominate - it will be private. Please click here to read the post in full.

My challenge card features Navajo Anya.

Now for our new Farm Fresh Friday challenge of the week..the theme is Twilight/Fairytale. I created a mini box using the new CC Sadie and I colored her up with Bella as a newly hatched vampire in mind (hence the red eyes).
On the inside, I added a Cullen necklace that I bought at Nordstrom along with an ATC featuring Flirty Edward from The Roll Call Kit. I think its a cute little gift for a Twi-Hard don't you think? :)

****

Now for a quickie card. I had this little gal colored up (who originally was slated for Halloween but seeing as that day has come and gone, lol) I decided to use her up for a "spooky birthday" theme card. Lol, I know I'm stretching it on this one but my stash of Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is extremely small and I wanted to play along with their Food/Drink Challenge. All I need to do is type up a Happy Birthday sentiment and I'm done. I'm in need of a good birthday stamp set. Any recommendations?

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great Friday and weekend!

FFF: Lace and/or Vintage

Happy Friday! Today we start a brand new Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog. The theme of the week is Lace and/or Vintage. Since I didn't have any lace on hand I went for the Vintage/Distressed look. My image is the new Latte Anya who is perfect for the Vintage look or for the bright and cheery look.

Do you want to know my secrets to "vintaging" and/or detressing your card? Yes, ok :)
One, find muted dp.
Two, keep your palette in the brown hues.
Three, run your scissors through it.
Four, add a little Timmy ink to it.
Five, throw on some pearls and lace (if you have it) and voila you're finished. hehe.

Ok so now that you know my secrets hop on over to the TGF blog to link up. Plus, you'll be able to check some more old world samples created by my dt sisters:)

Happy Crafting and Thanks for stopping by!!

Angry Ballerina

Happy Friday Night! Just quickly sharing a card I created with my Kraftin Kimmie Angry Ballerina. I soooo heart her. She reminds me a lot of my nieces and I mean a lot. I actually call my youngest niece angry ballerina when she's pouting and she'll know what I'm talking about. Some people just can't help being moody. Lol!

However when creating this card, I had my bff in mind. She's a moody adult and we've had our differences but in the end we find a way to make up. This is why I love this sentiment, "Best Friends" from Graphicat Designs, it fits perfectly.

I am a Greeting Farm Farmer!!!! WooHoo!!!

Happy Monday Farm Friends! I'm extremely EXCITED!!! Over the Moon THRILLED!!!! to announce that I am a new Showcase Farmer. I have been bursting at the seams for the past 6 months about my new DT spot and I'm finally able to let it out. Insert long sigh, Lol!!  For those that are familiar with my work know that I am a HUGE fan of the farm and so I'm def going to have fun for the next 6 months.

For my Introduction Card I used Blush Bettie. She is the newest member of the Blush Society and I so heart her. Although I find her adorable, she doesn't have that adorable look like Anya or the Beans, she's a little more grown up and that is what is so great about her. She also comes with her own sentiment "Oh Hello" but if you're in the mood for a bigger background stamp then you must pick up Blush Thanks as well. This stamp is a great addition to the Blush Society and can be used with all the Blush Girls. I didnt use it on this project but I will soon.

Medium: Prismacolor Pencils. Paper: DCWV. Flowers: Prima, Misc.

Ok, do you want a chance to win your own Blush Bettie? Better yet, do you want to win the whole July release? Yes you heard right, the complete release!! Talk about WOW!!!! 5 singles and 1 set.

Hop around to say Hello and leave some bloggy love to all the new Showcase Farmers. You will have until July 3, 10pm CST to get those comments in. Plus, make sure to hop on over to Peggy's blog to Welcome her back to the farm. She has returned as our team captain and we are very happy! to have her with us. Once you've made the rounds :) hop on back to the TGF Blog to leave some love there.

Here's the lineup. Happy Hopping and Happy Shopping - as I know you want Bettie and the rest of the gang to come with you ;)

JESS (Thats Me!)
 PEGGY

Ps. One last picture. I just wanted to share the card I created for the call. It brought a smile to my face when I created it and even BIGGER smile when I found out the Amazing news!!! Thanks for stopping by!
