SOG Fun with a little Tiddly Love

Happy Saturday Night!!! How are you enjoying your evening? I should be organizing and packing but instead I decided to create a bright and cheery card using Roller Mae to play along with Some Odd Girl. Today was a special day of Facebook Funday for SOG where discounts, tutorials and lots of SOGgy love were found.

I used the Sketch from the SOG Sketch Challenge

I also have a little Tiddly card inspired by the Mom's challenge over at Tiddly Inks. This one was made for my mom from her little princess, who is no longer me, lol! I've been replaced by my niece, oh well circle of life. Hehehe.

Tiddly Inks Puzzle Adventure and Tiddly "Booty" Winner

Hi Fellow Tiddly Lovers and Scrappy Friends. I am here celebrating with Christy and Tiddly Inks the end of the 1 year birthday extravaganza.  This time around, I am playing along with the fun game Christy has set up for us. I will be hunting for puzzle pieces and try to piece them together. How fun!! So let the game begin :)

Happy Birthday Tiddly Inks!! May there be many more pixies, gothic cuties and funny cute characters like Minnie coming our way.
Party Time digi from Tiddly Inks (Slightly Altered)
A2 Size Card
For my project, I went for a CAS look. I tried using Glimmer Mist and create my own clouds but experimentation isn't the best thing to try to do when your racing against the clock. Lol. As much I love adding all sorts of embellishments and flowers, I prefer these type of cards when I need to mail them out. This card wont cost me over $2 to mail, just 0.44cents and its good to go :)

I also have my Booty winner from last weeks hop. I'm really sorry for posting this so late. I got sidetracked by several things that kept me away. I also want to say a HUGE thank you to all my new friends. I'm so happy to hear that my iPhone card made you laugh... OK so CONGRATS to

#19 Debbie Pamment
Debbie can you please email me so we can arrange your prize.
Thanks!

Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt

Welcome to the Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt Blog Hop. We are celebrating Tiddly Ink's first birthday celebration and I'm excited that you are here with me. I was very Excited!! to receive the invite email from Christy to be one her special guests today. Psssha, Like I was going to say no (rolling my eyes) Lol. Thanks Christy!!! Im happy to be here.

Ok, so you should be coming over from the Uber talented Donna. If you not, hop on back to the Challenge Blog so you don't miss a  thing. There are lots of prizes to be had and a secret phrase you need to decipher to be eligible for some loot.

My creation today features Tiddly's new image GeekaTude. Ok so when I saw this cutie, I was hooked. First of all, geeks are all the rage now. Lol. My current favorite show, which became part of my all time fave top 3 is Big Bang Theory. I find them hilarious, especially Sheldon and Howard. Now If you don't know what I'm talking about then Hello?!?!! where have you been???? lol. But if you do, then yay!!!
This little geek also stole my heart because of all of his apple products and as you can see I'm a huge Apple fan. I love them all especially my iPhone. So I thought I would use this cutie patootie to make my first official iPhone card. I think it was about time I paid homage to my favorite toy :) Now I know this looks like a fat iPhone, lol, but if I would have used the phone's original measurements it would have been much too small and I have a hard time coloring small images with my pencils. ***Please Note: I am the first stop with Pirate Jane. My letter is S. Arrrrgghhhhh!!! Lol***

You can find this cutie along with 20 new images Christy created for this special occasion in her Shop. Make sure you hop on over to see what you like, because I'm certain that you will. And as a reminder, there will a major Sale from May 1-3 in honor of this celebration. C'mon, who can resist a sale. Plus you can use your new images to play along on May 10th for the next special blog hop. It's a win-win!
Ps. I will entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge

BLOG BOOTY: So as a special Thank You for hoping along with us, I am offering a Tiddly Digi Stamp Set of your choice. Those are great little sets because they have images, sentiments and background paper. Go ahead and leave me a comment and I will pick a random winner on or after May 3. You don't have to be a follower but I would love it if you are. Huge thanks to Christy for generously sponsoring my blog and for sharing her talents with all of us.

Thank you for hopping along with us in our Treasure Hunt. I hope you have enjoyed yourself so far and continue to do so as you hop along to find more loot, treasures and booty.

A few more "Just Because"

Happy Pre-Friday. Holiday weekend coming up, Woooo!!!

So I just wanted to share some "quick" cards I made. Lol!!! That really is a laughable term for me because even the simplest ones are nothing less than hours of love :)

For my first card, I'm using a special Rio digi Simply Betty owner, Betty, created for her daughter. It was a special birthday digi in honor of her tuning 13. It was such a touching story of what her teen chose as her bday gift. ...... Ok, so I'm realizing with all this pink going on, I might be subconsciously trying to relive my pre teen years. Lol. I always wanted pink hair or pink tips but I was never courageous enough to do it so now, I'm vicariously living through my coloring. hehehe ......   I will be playing with Simply Betty Stamps - Rio Challenge.

Card 2:  I used Cookie Bugg digi from Tiddly Inks. Lol! I just realized I forgot to color her legs. Oh well, It happens :). At least I caught it before I sent it off. Does that ever happen to you? You get distracted by something else on your card and you forget the final touch. [EDIT: I colored in her legs and uploaded again]. I will be playing with Tiddly Inks Challenge - You're a Stitch.
Card 3: For this card I used one of my new favorite rubber stamps, Cheeky Chat from the Greeting Farm. The cheekys are prob my favorite line although they are all cute! And whats not to love about this super girly cute stamp. Doesn't it take you back to the time when you usto just gab, gab, gab away on the phone. Awhhh, to be young again. I will be playing along with: Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Emboss It. I used 2 different embossing folders to give my card texture. I'll also be playing with The Play Date Cafe using their #78 color combo. I would have never thought to combine these colors but I think they look great together. I'm really glad I found this color challenge blog because it pushes me outside my {pink} box. :)

And now for some awesome news. Christy will be celebrating Tiddly Inks one year blogaversary on April 30 with an awesome Treasure Hunt. I'm very Excited!! to be a part of it so make sure to come back and hop with us. They're will be lots and lots of loot. So you DO NOT want to miss it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tiddly Inks Bunny Hop minus the Bunny. Lol!

So my title says it all...I'm joining the Bunny Hop without a cute bunny on my project. But in my defense I have been sitting on this image since late last year (or early this year? geesh, I cant remember when I bought it. lol) and I have been dying to use it. I think that happens to all of us, whether its a cartridge, stamp, paper or tool. You are guilty too, my friends, so no judgement. Lol.

Also, in true Jess form, I was late in wishing Christy (Tiddly owner) some sweet Birthday wishes. Correction! Am late because I am doing it right now.... Happy Birthday Christy!!! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing day just like your beautiful gal here.

Take Me Away digi from Tiddly Inks
A2 Size

OK so the idea of this Bunny Hop is to make new bloggy friends. What can be better than to meet new people, find inspiration and give some as well. Plus, at the end of this..a few gals will be lucky enough to win some digis. To play along, you must enter before the 15th and use a Tiddly Image (which btw, she has some freebies in her shop). If you are new to digis and are scared to use them, don't be. That's the fun of crafting, experimentation. So I hope you join me and play along as well.

Also, I would love it if you would choose me as your partner. If you do so, you must leave a comment stating that I referred you and we both become eligible for a prize. To link up your project, click here. For more info, read below:

"Tiddly Inks is having a special "Refer Your Friends" challenge so I am inviting you to become a new or returning friend to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. We both have a chance to win images, but more important, it will be a fun experience to see inspirational cards and meet new blogging friends.  If you decide to join in the challenge, please post the note below on your blog entry and in the Tiddly Inks comment section after you add your card to their challenge:
Note: "I was referred to Tiddly Inks by Jess M. from My Scrap Diary (myscrapdiary-jess.blogspot.com)"

I hope you play along.

Pucker Up + More

Happy Monday Scrappy Friends. I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed it with a nice bbq (like I did) or a good craft-a-thon (like I should have)  lol. I have several things on my plate right now and I should have taken some time to take care of them but the sunshine was too good to pass up. The only thing that made me feel bummed was the fact that CHA is being held 20 minutes away from me and I cant go. Grrrrr.....

Now onto my Valentine project....  I wanted to play with the Frog theme for this V-Day project. I mean, who hasn't had their fare share of "frogs". So I created them with my oldest niece and sister in mind. I know they will get a chuckle out of these.

Picture 1: Valentine Day Project: Card & Chocolate Mini Box

Picture 2: Size 5 inches
Prismacolor Pencils

Picture 3: For my card, I used Froggie Thoughts from Tiddly Inks. This is a really cute set that brings the frog and some cute sentiments - such as the one I used: "The Things We Do For Love", don't you just love this sentiment?

I will be playing with Tiddly Inks Challenge - Quote Me. Use a favorite or special quote. The quote/sentiment I used I think is soo true for all of us. What don't we do for love?

Picture 4: Sweethearts Cart
Martha Stewart Punches

For my chocolate mini box I used the cutie frog from the Sweethearts cartridge. However, I think I made this poor little fella look like he was put through the ringer. I used PKS Everyday Faces (slightly altered) but when my alteration went awry, I decided to give him an eye patch. lol. Eh, I think he still looks cute with it. But I couldn't stop at the eye patch, so I decided to give the poor guy some freckles/frog spots. However, I went a little bizerk with the black pen and he ended completely covered with them. But I like it. It turned out to be one of those accidental good things :) :D. Handmade Sentiment Used, "Pucker Up Baby" (lol)

I'll be playing with:
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesdays - Sweethearts
Peachy Keen Stamps (Let's Face It Friday) - X's and O's
Wacky Wednesday - Brown, Green and Pink (Used for both items)

"Just Be Me"

Good Morning Scrappy Friends. I wanted to share a card I made to play along with Tiddly Inks. Their challenge was "Just Be Me" - Create a card that represents who you are. Now that was a bit difficult to do because I couldn't really break it down to one picture. But last week I was lucky enough to win some images from Christy and I chose this one because I really loved the little girl/bug that is sleeping, relaxing and reading. I found this image appropriate to portray a bit of me because I enjoy relaxing, reading a good book and taking a delicious long nap :). Plus, It's also a good representation because i can be very carefree in other aspects of my life, sometimes a little to much. lol
Picture 1: Sunny HuggABug digi from Tiddly Inks

Picture 2: Sugar and Spice Cart used for base and layer

I'll be playing along with:
Tiddly Inks Challenge - Just Be Me
Simon Says Stamp Chellenge - Bingo (Ribbon, Brads and Flowers, I used brads for the center of the colored flowers )

Thanks!

**Now a side note: I hate having to do this but I just found out that some blog candy I gave away is being recycled and is being offered up as a bribe. Now if it would have been candy that I didn't care for I wouldn't be this upset but I gave away a set of Prismacolor Pencils and it was quite difficult for me to give them away. Those pencils are very special for me because as you know, they are what I use for my coloring and relaxation. However, I offered them up as blog candy because I wanted a fellow blogger/scrappy friend to enjoy them as much as I do. Now, I feel as if another Scrappy Friendfollower missed the opportunity to enjoy them. Am I being too sensitive?

KinderStampO's "34 Birthday Candles and Counting" Blog Hop

Hello Scrappy Friends. Welcome to KinderStampO's Big 34th Bday Celebration. Jessica lined up over 40 blogs for you to visit to get some birthday inspiration. The hop began at Jessica's blog, KinderStampO, and will end there as well. Ok, so lets get started....

You should be arriving from Jessica, Creative Stamper.
[Lovely name by the way, lol. And the host has an even lovelier name :)]

Today's birthday card project features one of my favorite tools (if you can call it that). Aside from using my cricut machine, I enjoy coloring digi stamps or rubber stamps. I find it relaxing to pull out my stamps and crayons and go at it as if I was still in elementary school. Granted I sometimes take over an hour to color an image such as this one but that's besides the point :)

Picture 1:
I chose this image because my bday is 2 weeks before Halloween and ever since I can remember, I've always had my birthday associated with the holiday. I even received an Orange Halloween cake from a friend on my 21st bday instead of a regular birthday cake. lol. So because of that, I like the cutie gothic bday images such as this one.

*I'm not certain of the name because I threw the packaging but it was something around that line.

In case you get lost, you can find the complete lineup at KinderStampO's blog.

Thank you Jessica for hosting this big bash and allowing me to be part of it. Happy Birthday!!!

Alice In Wonderland

Good Morning Scrappy Friends. I hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying the fact that it is Wednesday already :) I would like to Thank all of you that came out to hop along with me on Friday. I know that it was one long lineup :) but Hello Kitty's cuteness couldn't be contained. I would also like to Thank all of you that became a Friend. I do hope you return because there are many things I would like to share with you.
Ok, onto my post. Today I want to share with you a very special theme that I love and enjoy very much:
 Alice in Wonderland
Picture 1: Time For Tea digi from Tiddly Inks
Size: 4x9 (Perfect for Business size envelope

Picture 2: I wanted to create a clean and simple card that can be for any age group. I also wanted Alice to be my focal point. And I wanted this card to have a Birthday present look, which is why I added the bow and ribbon I did. I will be playing along with Tiddly Inks this week. Their theme is "Refresh Me" (an All White Card, except for the image).
Ready for a Sneak Peek?
Since I'm also playing along with Stephanie, this week there is an amazing guest designer, Donna. She was my pick for this week and I chose her because of her love for Wonderland and because I think she is a fantastic crafter/artist. Every creation she pops up with is simply divine. She was one of the first bloggers that I followed and I am very happy that I did. She can create anything from creepy to elegant to cute. Here is a link to one of my favorite projects that she created last summer. I'm secretly hoping that one day my mail carrier will deliver an item that is similar, if not the original. Lol. Kidding Donna. Well not really :). But you know, Its polite to write that in. Lol.  So hop on over to Donna's blog and see what I'm raving about. I'm excited to see what creepy cuteness she created.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Toast The New Year Properly

Happy New Year!! I hope you had a fun and safe holiday and you are ready to begin 2011. I'm sure you've heard this everywhere but I'm just amazed at how quickly the year passed by. It seems like only yesterday I went to my first Michael's crop and I used the cricut machine for the very first time. I must go back. I think that's the best time to scrap because you get to enjoy the company of others while you fiddle around with a piece of paper and glue :)

I wanted to begin my crafting new year "Toasting It Properly" with a New Years Card using new techniques/items I'm not usto. Such as: Flowers, Glitter & Ribbon (not on this one but will make its debut in some that are coming up this week).  These items will be part of my new crafting resolution in addition to my others. As for my other crafting resolutions, I'd like to begin making videos, make 2 cards per project, lessen the time I spend on a card, open up an etsy shop, minimize my card making time, get a facebook account and reduce the time I spend on a card. lol.

I hope you like my card. I really do. Since I tend to toss or give away my cards or projects after a while, I really don't have much to show. So I do think that this would be a good one to begin my permanent collection.
And if you like this adorable image you can find her and many more at Tiddly Inks.
Picture 1: Toasting Properly Gossmere Digi from Tiddly Inks
5.5 inch Circle Base
Medallion & Flowers from the Lacy Labels Lite cart

I wanted to show a closeup of the bling/glitter. I like the way it came out and it's very appropriate for the occasion. I also wanted to show a closeup of her hair (I'm very proud because I think I'm making progress). I'm really trying to practice my coloring and get the effect of light & darkness.

I'm playing along with...

My Little Princess

Hello Everyone. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are ready to begin the week.
First of all I'd like to thank those that have stopped by my blog to comment on my projects. I really appreciate you taking the time out. I do apologize for not going over to your blogs but I will soon.

Ok so onto the card...This card was commissioned by my brother. My niece just turned 11, which means she is now a tween and at times likes to think she is at teenage level. But he wanted a card that said that she was still his little girl, his little princess. So with that in mind and with Tiddly Inks challenge in mind I came up with this super cute card. Like I said in my previous post, I'm not one to really toot my own horn but I really love the way this card came out. And my brother and my niece loved it as well. And the best part (aside from the satisfaction of creating something that was extremely appreciated) was my pay. I got payed with a cricut cartridge (Winter Frolic)... Sweeeeet :)

Petite Q diji stamp from Tiddly Inks
6 inch Scalloped Circles

Picture 2: I know this card may look simple to some of you but I'm not one to use ribbon, buttons, etc on my cards so this is me starting to get into all of the diff embellies out there

Picture 3: It took me forever to get this bow to look good and yet I still couldn't get it to fully cooperate :)
I drew my background in with my Prismacolors Pencils

For Tiddly Inks Challenge #29 - Create a Royalty theme project with a background and fall colors.
I am also submitting this to Emma's Imagine Nation Monday Challenge - Use buttons

Spinner Card

Happy Late Halloween! I hope that everyone had a good holiday and collected a lot of goodies, screams and memories.

Today's card features the cute Cheshire Cat from Tiddly Inks. When I read the challenge for Tiddly's Challenge Blog, I instantly thought of this guy. The challenge was to create a spinner card. Most spinner cards I've seen, have the object spin across the card. However Christy had her object spin in place so I wanted to do the same for my Cheshire. I thought it would be cute to have his head spin in place. Plus, he does have his head spin in the cartoon movie so you can say I was inspired by that as well. For the background paper, I used a digi paper from Tiddly Inks. I added the typing myself. I feel as thou something is missing from this card. Something needs to be changed, deleted or added. Does it look drab? I just don't know what yet.

I'm also submitting this card to another favorite blog of mine Oh! Alice. They have a Halloween in Wonderland theme going on. Their DT has beautiful and inspiring work. If you are an Alice lover like I am then go by and check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

I do apologize for the bad picture. Ill replace it with a better picture tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by! As always, I love to read your comments and suggestions.

My Imagine-Like Card feat Tiddly Inks

Hi Everyone,
This card was created for both of Emma's challenges in mind. For her Imagine Nation Monday, she wanted us to create a card using Polk-a-Dots and having it look like it came from the Imagine (hence the digi work) and for her Throwback Thursday, she wanted it to be sports theme. I had a hard time with the sports theme because I'm not a sports fan. The only sport that I like is Futbol (Soccer for us). I'm a huge fanatic when the world cup rolls around but once that's over with, it tends to die down and go away :).
OK so I stretched my imagination with this one and used the ribbon from Plaintin Schoolbook. I know that ribbons are given out to the players at the mini soccer leagues. So I think that this worked out perfectly.

Picture 1: Card featuring Soccer Annie from Tiddly Inks.
The sentiment for the card will be somewhere along the lines of: You're a blue ribbon star.

Picture 2: This is a shot of the paper I used and a sneak peek to a card I'll be creating soon.

I also wanted to direct you to Tiddly Inks. This is the site where I got my cute digis (both Soccer Star and the Cheshire cat.) Christy (the owner) has a very cute line of digi stamps. She has several lines such as Gothic Cuties, Animals, Fairies, etc. She holds challenges every Tuesday. She requires that you use one of her digis but if you cant buy one at the moment, she offers freebies. Currently she is offering some major blog candy. So hop on over and see what you would like to buy because you cant visit her store without wanting to shop. If you'd like to buy the little Soccer Star you can do so here. This link will also take you to her store.

Halloween is Hoppin' at Tiddly Inks

Tiddly Inks is having a Halloween blog hop. Come and join the fun. The DT has amazing creations. And Christy has new beautiful digis in her shop. The blog will run for the next two days and then they will have their wrap party at PCP.
For this card I used a digi image and my cricut. I wanted to make a cute, wacky card. The none cute pumpkin is the pick of the patch. And the cute pumpkins (tiddlys) are on the side watching on the wackiness. Lol.

Black, White & Gray

Hi Everyone! This card is for the Drama Queen in your life. lol. Someone who's over the top & always wants to be the center attention. I think we all know a few of those...

Picture 1: The Front of the Card.
This little gal sure cant be boxed in. She needs to be free & front and center. This is why her arm is extending outside of the frame.

Picture 2: Closeup of Image, Frame, Ribbon, etc.

Picture 3: The Inside of the Card.
  1. This card was created as a combo card. It is for 2 challenges: Tiddly Inks & The Burtonesque Dolls. At the Dolls (http://theburtonesquedolls.blogspot.com/) we had to create a black & white project inspired by "Ed Wood." I didn't think that this challenge would have been difficult for me because I love b/w & I have some beautiful paper but i was stuck. Since it has been years that I don't work with a monochromatic scheme, I was itching to throw some color on it. I mulled over this card for several days. Finally, I just had to close my eyes and go for it.
  2. At Tiddly's (http://tiddlyinkschallenge.blogspot.com/) we had to "Match It Up." We had to match our papers with the image's clothing, accessories, etc. I tried paper piecing the coat but it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be so I just pieced the sleeves. I matched that paper with the frame. I matched the neck tie with the ribbon in the background. I matched the skull she is holding with the dp I made myself. And so forth.
Even though I struggled with this one for a bit I still enjoyed myself. I feel as if I'm putting some of my schooling to use.
Thanks for stopping by. And as always, I love reading your comments.

Red, White & Blue Birthday

Hi! I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July. This week, everyone had Red,White and Blue on their minds so it worked out well. My brother's birthday was yesterday and I wanted his card to be a combo of both the holiday and his birthday. I used a Tiddly's digi, a sketch from Doodles and an old xmas card that I covered with 4th of July paper and scraps. This card took me a while to create. It may look simple but blending those Prismacolors can be time consuming. I still need to practice but with time I'm hoping Ill get back into the swing of it.

I'm submitting this card for the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks - "Red, White and Blue". I used this cute free doggie digi that Christy has available at her store.
Pixie Dust Studio - "Red, White and Blue"

Thanks for looking! Comments and Suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.

You are out of this world Grad

Hello Everyone! This card and cookie box was made for my friend's son, who just graduated from the 5th grade. It was a big day for him. I used this cute little Robot image from Tiddly Inks. Christy (the owner) gave this robot digi with an accompanying  box digi for free last week. I printed the gift box image on a 8x12 paper to make the cookie box. I wanted to give it that wrapping paper effect. From the robot image I cut off the balloons and transferred them in to the inside of the card. I then replaced the balloons with the saying "You are out of this world..."

(L-R): Front of the card-Inside of card

I'm pleased with the way the card and box came out but I get a feeling that I could have done more to it. I think I stopped myself from going over board because he is an 11 year old boy that will just throw away the card and rip open the box as soon as he sees it. Those are boys for you. lol.
Thanks for stopping by/commenting

I'm submitting this little combo set to the following challenges:
Tiddly Inks - Bleep, Bleep, Boys and Their Robots
