My 24 hour Alice theme Layouts

OK, so this is my double layout that I created for the pictures I have of me with Alice and of the (Red) Queen (of Hearts). I don't have the pictures on the LOs yet because I still have the Alice picture in my sd-card and the Queen picture I misplaced. I definitely have it in a frame somewhere I just haven't really looked. Lol! And yes the title is correct. This double page LO took me approx 24 hours to create. It was 12 & 12. I didn't actually take the full 24 hours staring and working on it but I did spend the 24 hours thinking about, looking at it & figuring it out. The Queen LO I started at around 730am on Sunday and I didn't finish it up until about 7-730pm that evening. Sure I took breaks, went for a walk, watched a soccer game (which btw, Argentina won-WooHoo!!! I was super thrilled because that's my team. I'm hoping they win the cup this year), started another project, finished that project, scrutinized that project and then finally, trash that project (I still cant believe I wasted time doing that). But throughout all that time I kept going back to the LO thinking what I could do to it.... And the same thing happened the day before. I actually didn't sleep because I wanted to get it done. (And btw, USA lost on Sat. Something I was very bummed about. They are #2 team. I really wanted them to make it to the final 4. They were amazing!)

I'm entering these layout in 3 challenges:
Pixie Dust Studio - "Seeing 2" Create a project using 2 images. I used the Rabbit and Alice on the Alice LO.
Oh, Alice! - "Twinkle Twinkle" Use something twinkly, glittery or sparkly. I have some of that on both but Ill enter the Queen LO for this one.
S2G Challenges - "Something New" Use something new, which are my digis and my paper. Again, this applies to both but Ill enter the Queen LO for this one.

A Little "Hi" with a Bunny

White Rabbit from The Wonderland digi set from The Greeting Farm

Hi there, I'm here to share this card I created using daisies and the not so white rabbit :)  . I used the the OH, Alice! sketch and recipe. I used a Wonderland icon because it's one of my favorite story lines/ideas. The imagination and possibilities of that book is amazing and inspires a lot. I'm currently trying to use up my scraps but that didn't really work out. I ended up adding more scraps to my bin, lol.

You are out of this world Grad

Hello Everyone! This card and cookie box was made for my friend's son, who just graduated from the 5th grade. It was a big day for him. I used this cute little Robot image from Tiddly Inks. Christy (the owner) gave this robot digi with an accompanying  box digi for free last week. I printed the gift box image on a 8x12 paper to make the cookie box. I wanted to give it that wrapping paper effect. From the robot image I cut off the balloons and transferred them in to the inside of the card. I then replaced the balloons with the saying "You are out of this world..."

(L-R): Front of the card-Inside of card

I'm pleased with the way the card and box came out but I get a feeling that I could have done more to it. I think I stopped myself from going over board because he is an 11 year old boy that will just throw away the card and rip open the box as soon as he sees it. Those are boys for you. lol.

Birthdays Round 2

This is the 2nd birthday card of the 8 I need to make. Yesterday I mentioned that I needed to make 7 but I forgot about my friend's dd that will be turning 6. So now Im making 8 bday cards in total, on top of my other projects and my scrapbooking.

Picture 1: The Envelope

Picture 2: Side view and a peek of the inside

Picture 3: The front of the card

This card is for one my closest girlfriend that is a Sex and the City lover like I am. I have been a fan of the show since the first season. Even when I didnt have HBO, I found ways of keeping up with the current season. I was extremely excited when the first movie came out and equally excited when the 2nd one came out (which by the way, I loved - who cares what the reviews say) and Ill be equally thrilled or maybe more if a third one happens (which Im hoping it does).
Im also entering this card in 3 blog challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Use their Anniversary Blog Sketch [which incidentaly they are having a blog hop to celebrate their first year anniversary].
S2G Challenges - Use the color Pink.
The Creative Cottage Challenge - Pink is the theme.

Birthday Season Has Begun

Yay!!!! I finally got my cricut. I'm really excited!! I have a lot of scrapbooking pages that I need to work on. Wait, let me rephrase that, I have a lot of scrapbooking albums that I need to work on. I am hoping to finish an album before the year is over.

Onto the post...

Birthday season has officially begun. I have a total of 7 birthday cards that I want to finish. So far Im def done with 1 (which is the one on the post) and the 2nd one, I just need to clean it up (which I will post later.)

This is a Strawberry cupcake card that I made for my niece that turned 8 on Saturday. Her party theme was Pink & Purple Cupcakes. I wanted to use those colors and use one of her favorite fruits (strawberries). I am also entering this card in 2 blog challenges:

Doodle Palace - Use Strawberries
Bitten By The Bug 2 - Use a Sun cut. I cheated a little on this one. I used the Sun cut from the Hello Kitty cart. I liked it because it doesnt look like a sun when a diff color of paper is used. The HK sun is the pink star that card is made up of.

I also apologize for the bad quality of the pictures. I had to take them with my iPhone.
