Dreamer

Happy weekend! I'm here to quickly share a 8.5x11 scrapbook page lo using several santoro/gorjuss and lawn fawn products. I just adore this little girl because she looks so sweet with her earphones and teddy bear and she looks like she's just dreaming. This is the reason I titled it "dreamer" because it reminds me of my niece with her new purple hair and her love of music. Thanks for stopping by!

Ps. Don't forget to check out Noelle's "Back to School" sale happening in her shop.

Sunday Crafting Time

Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend was a good one. On Sundays, I like to take some time to do a little creating/crafting (most of the time, I make it my Scrapbooking time) so here I am to share one of my 'Currently' Scrapbook Pages. I've mentioned before that this is my project life for me. I'm still playing catch up with my album so my pages that I share most likely wont be in chronological order. Today's page is about one of my 'not so good' Sundays so I used all lawn fawn product to add cheeriness and color to my page.  Although I wrote about what was ailing me on my page, I also wrote some good stuff.
That's all for now. See you back here tomorrow with another guest post for The Greeting Farm :)
Thanks for stopping by

My Currently Album

http://quick-creations.myshopify.com/
Hi there! Before we get started, I just wanted to remind you about the QC sale happening. You get an extra 20%off on top of her low prices. This is the time to stock up, so go on over and check it out.

Happy Thursday! That means its Big Bang Theory Day and today we get to hear Bernadette utter those 6 horrible words to the guys, "Why don't you call tech support?" Lol. We shall see what happens :)   Today is also my day over on the Quick Creations Blog. I'm showcasing a Frou Frou stamp from The Greeting Farm and Simple Stories paper.

I created a scrapbook LO for my CURRENTLY album. My 'Currently' album is my version of a Project Life album. I really like the concept of the BH system but its hard for me to keep up with it, so this year I opted for this version. Every Sunday I create a mini 6x6 LO for my Currently card of the week , which is a card for me to journal on and write my current likes etc. (The Currently card comes from rukristin, click HERE for her blogpost). This time, I created a page to hold my 4 cards for the month of April. Since I fell behind by not writing down my info on the cards for the past few Sundays, I decided to play catch up. My theme for the month is all about Enchantment, Fairy Tales, Love and Dreaming, so this stamp and paper pack was perfect. All paper used (the envelope, embellishments on the LO and on the journaling cards) come from the same paper pad. That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, so lets get started. My card features lots of Lawn Fawn goodness. I used the set of cutesy elephants that make a great pair but also will look great on their own. When I saw this mini stamp set it automatically reminded me of my mother, she has always believed in the magic of elephants, so although this card isn't appropriate for mom I will make her a similar one. Plus, a little extra luck this year wont be so bad. C'mon elephants do your job :)
What I did to the card was use the "love" die all over the front panel and then popped it up on top of a sheet of dp. I sprinkled some hearts around the card and split up the sentiment for a maze like effect (which is why the elephants are separated).

Project 1 - Love Card
Stamp Image/Sentiment - Lawn Fawn: Love You Tons
Matching Die - Lawn Fawn: Love You Tons Die
Lawn Fawn: Scripty Love Die
Doodlebug Doilies: Cupcake
Paper - Dear Lizzy: Daydreamer 6x6 pad

For my Scrapbook LO, I used the awesome EP line "Head Over Heels". I'm doing a sort of Project Life album this year (its kind of hard for me to keep up with that system) but it did inspire me to create a Sunday Album. Every Sunday I create a mini 6x6 LO for my Currently cards (which are for us to journal on and write our current likes etc). The cut apart cards are from the same line except that they are on the 12x12 sheet. However, you can find them in mini form on the 6x6 pad.

Project 2 - Scrapbook LO
Paper - EchoPark: Head Over Heels 6x6 pad
Lawn Fawn: Scripty Love Die
Doodlebug Doilies: Cupcake
Lawn Fawn: Large Stitched Rectangle Dies

The Cringeworthy Ramblings of a...

Happy Sunday! When I first began crafting, I got into because of scrapbooking but soon after I switched over to card making (as I found it less daunting). But now after a few years of doing that and finally finding my voice when it comes to cards, I thought it was time to go back and start from the beginning. So here is my attempt to return to scrapbooking. When I organized my pictures and memorabilia, I found my old diary of when I was 14. I thought of tossing it because truth be told it is extremely embarrassing. I wrote down silly stuff such as what I wore and how my day dragged on (which I suppose is a normal teenage girl diary) but I also wrote down about how much "I Loved" my 9th grade boyfriend. Wow! I thought our love was never ending and the way I expressed myself, Yikes. Lol.  So here it is, a piece of me at 14.
Ps I was soooooo into Keropi at that time. hehe.

I'm submitting to:

Tink

Hi Everyone.
Quick post today. Emma from My Creative Time is having a Tinkerbell challenge and I wanted to join in on the fun. She is currently a fave of my niece so I wanted to make her a LO for the picture she took of her and Tink at Disney. This cart is really cute but very intricate. I was trying to pull this one off as well as a complete Double LO of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs at the same time. It was not easy, Toooooooooo many teeny tiny pieces. So some yelling happened as well as some scouring of the floor for missing shoes and noses. Ahhh, good times. Lol. Ok so here's my simple but very glittery and cute Tink LO. I did some minor shading to her skin with my prismacolor pencils to give her a bit of color.

Love LO

Closeup of the paper

This is LO#2 for the week and the theme is Love. I will add a picture of my niece and I and this LO is perfect for us because our fave color is purple (although she looooves it), we both love Pho Soup and I call her my "chinita" because her dad is Asian. So it's a little inside joke. Plus, she totally fell in love with this panda and noodle bowl when she saw it.

Thanks for stopping by/commenting!

Color & Personal Challenge

Hello Everyone! I have decided to challenge myself this week. I have a ton of printed pictures that I want to scrapbook, organize, etc. I have most of them in order (year, decade) but I still feel frazzled/overwhelmed by them. I'm trying to play catch up but it's difficult for me to do. I take a lot of time on a LO. Although they may look simple, It's a miracle if I can get a single page LO done in an hour (yes, you heard correctly). Plus, I don't know really where to begin. I can't seem to sit down & finish a set. So this week, I gave myself a personal challenge: Create a LO a day (I'm still deciding if Sat/Sun will be included). Although, I will prob work on my different event ones, just to get it out of my system, by the end of the week I will pick a pack to work on.  I'm crossing my fingers & saying to myself "here's hoping" :)

This scrapbook layout will be the starting page for my Laughling, NV trip album. I like to make a huge statement for my first page & then tone it down for the rest. I was going for a fun, playful feeling.

Additionally, this LO will be entered in the Color Throwdown Challenge. They are celebrating their 100th challenge (Yay!). For our project we had to use the colors: Rose, Celery, Red & Breeze and most importantly, have fun! Which I did. I was trying to make the Tiddly Inks deadline as well but I missed it :(

Thanks for looking. As always, any comments or suggestions are always appreciated.

My 24 hour Alice theme Layouts

OK, so this is my double layout that I created for the pictures I have of me with Alice and of the (Red) Queen (of Hearts). I don't have the pictures on the LOs yet because I still have the Alice picture in my sd-card and the Queen picture I misplaced. I definitely have it in a frame somewhere I just haven't really looked. Lol! And yes the title is correct. This double page LO took me approx 24 hours to create. It was 12 & 12. I didn't actually take the full 24 hours staring and working on it but I did spend the 24 hours thinking about, looking at it & figuring it out. The Queen LO I started at around 730am on Sunday and I didn't finish it up until about 7-730pm that evening. Sure I took breaks, went for a walk, watched a soccer game (which btw, Argentina won-WooHoo!!! I was super thrilled because that's my team. I'm hoping they win the cup this year), started another project, finished that project, scrutinized that project and then finally, trash that project (I still cant believe I wasted time doing that). But throughout all that time I kept going back to the LO thinking what I could do to it.... And the same thing happened the day before. I actually didn't sleep because I wanted to get it done. (And btw, USA lost on Sat. Something I was very bummed about. They are #2 team. I really wanted them to make it to the final 4. They were amazing!)

Picture 2: Closeup of my modernized version of the white rabbit.

I'm entering these layout in 3 challenges:
Pixie Dust Studio - "Seeing 2" Create a project using 2 images. I used the Rabbit and Alice on the Alice LO.
Oh, Alice! - "Twinkle Twinkle" Use something twinkly, glittery or sparkly. I have some of that on both but Ill enter the Queen LO for this one.
S2G Challenges - "Something New" Use something new, which are my digis and my paper. Again, this applies to both but Ill enter the Queen LO for this one.

Thanks for stopping by/commenting!
