Have a Cool Yule Recap

** Warning: Picture Heavy **
Entering the entire project: Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Simply B Stamps: Jude Christmas Line
I used the April Sketch: Graphicat Designs (Rotated)

Hello Scrappy Friends. A few days left and the year is over. Wow!! Time sure did pass by quickly. Ok so onto my post: Over the next few days, the Crafty Sprouts gals are reviewing all the sets that have been released so far. I was up first with Have A Cool Yule.  I know that Christmas has just passed but because it just passed, we now need a place to record all the wonderful memories. I created a paper bag mini (one of the few that Ill be making).

Picture2: Side View of complete Mini

Mini Page 1and2

I like this format because it can be kept simple or you can add on to it. This mini took several hours to make (but because I sometimes sit there and stare into space thinking if I should add an embellishment. lol) But if you have a paper line that you really like and you just want that to shine (no images or embellishments) then you can create the mini in about 30 minutes (give or take 10-15 min).

Mini Pages 3and4

This album has 3 inserts for Tags, loose pictures, papers, etc. In this picture you see the back of the first 2 picture tags I created for this purpose. On the front, you attach your image and on the back (with the stamped sentiment) you journal about your event.

Middle Section of Mini

I originally was going to keep it simple and straight forward but then I saw the opportunity to add pockets and tags which is what is also seen here.

This is a second shot of the middle section but here you see the tags.

Mini Pages 7and8

Mini Pages 9and10

The end of the book with the last opening for tags. In total, you are given 8 picture spaces. 2 Pockets with 3 Picture and Journal Tags. 3 openings that holds 6 large Picture/Journal Tags. Not bad rental space if you ask me. Shoot, sometimes I only take 1-2 pictures per event so really I have diddly squat to fill this with. lol.

Of course I needed to use Crafty Sprouts signature barcode stamp for the back of my book. It gives it that finishing touch.

Large Picture/Journal Tags for the openings.
Images: Oscar, Ariel and Ali

Please note that I am not finished coloring my images. I just got a bit tired and decided to finish it off in a few days. You know when you have sat there and stared at a project for a few days, you just want to finish up and add the few minor details later. Well here it is for me :) Or maybe I might decide to leave them as is and say it was a Creative decision. lol.

Here are some of the tags that come with the mini. All images are from Simply B Stamps. I used the complete Jude and the Rockers Christmas line. Aren't they all SUPER ADORABLE in their footie pajamas. Squeal!!!! I just want to pinch their cheeks. This Christmas line is by far my fave from Jude and the Rockers. I highly recommend you hop on over to pick up all 6. The quality is awesome and you'll get a lot of use out of them.

Mini Blog Candy: I'm preparing an assortment of Christmas papers for you to play with. Ill load a picture in a few days (if I can do it before I go on my mini break ill do so). Ill leave this open until the end of the Recap Event (the 11th). Ill announce my winner on January 13.

I know the card is on the simple side but Im loving the image and the dp that I didnt want to take away from it.

Daddy's Girl

Hello All. The countdown has begun and there are 5 days left. Yikes!! Ok, I'm here today sharing a Daddy's Girl card. I'm proud of myself because there isn't a speck of pink on this card but trust me, I was jonesing to. lol. I used the adorable image Thank You from Saturated Canary. I recently came across this shop Thanks to Kellie, owner Tickled Pink Stamps. Kellie created some uber cute cards and inspired me to hop on over to see what SC is all about. I'm glad I did because all the images are beyond adorable, the blog is great read and the well, yes :) I have a few already but there are certainly more that I'd love to have in my collection.

I'm playing along in the Boys Challenge - Saturated Canary. My card was made for a little girl to give to her father. The sentiment reads "Daddy, I Love You"
Ill also be playing with The Corrossive Challenge - Anything Non Holiday

Cool Dude

Happy Sunday!! I'm here sharing a boy card I made for my friend's 13 year old. I wasn't sure how to approach it seeing that boys tend to tear things apart within minutes, so i just closed my eyes and threw some things together. lol. No not really but you get the gist. I jazzed it up with my neglected dusty stickers. Remember those? I'm sure we all have a stash  somewhere waiting to be used again.

Go Away Grumpies

"A Smile a day keeps the Grumpies away" Lol!!! How appropriate is this sentiment for Jill (the image found on my project) Jill is a creeper from the Creepin Kit, The Greeting Farm and I just love her to pieces. She looks overly grumpy and peeved and I tell my niece that she reminds me of her all the time. Of course my niece doesnt care for that but i like to see her all riled up. Lol!!!

I used the Spy Day #10 Sketch from the FFC.

The sentiments come from the awesome set, SMILE ON from Crafty Sprouts. This is a must have set so make sure you hop on over to get yours. Don't forget about the Free Shipping.

Shabby Chic

Hi! I'm playing along with Tickled Pink Stamps - Shabby Chic Challenge. This is my first time creating this look. My understanding of Shabby Chic is a color combo of light pink, light green and cream (with some Kraft thrown in the mix).  Well I really don't know why I took so long to try this look because anytime I have an excuse to use Pink, weeeeeeell Ill take it. :D

Photo Op Challenge

Happy Friday! Today begins a Brand New Challenge over at Crafty Sprouts. The challenge is to create a project inspired by the picture above. We thought it was time to fully get into the Holiday Spirit (I mean I may be in denial about the fact that Christmas is less than 20 days away but that doesn't mean it isn't happening. lol)

Our sponsor this challenge is Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I used the very cute Christmas Elf, Deacon for my Santa's Little Helper card. I opted for a CAS look this week. I'm still on a mission to create a card that can be reproduced. I think this one may be it :)

Here's a sneak peek of my mini Mickey Village. The rest of it is underneath my tree.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ps. In case you didn't know, there's a Crafty Sprouts Blog Hop going on. You can win a lot of amazing home made blog candy and a FANPIRE set (currently sold out). Also most sets are on SALE for 12.50 with FREE shipping. Make sure you hop on over to the Crafty Sprouts Shop to buy the sets you may be missing.

Christmas Present Card

Good Morning!! Maybe not so good for some, seeing that Monday is dreaded by many. Lol! So far so good here with our weather although I do hear that the Santa Ana winds are threatening to come back. That's not so good, certain areas/cities are still without electricity. Yikes!

Ok for my card today, I created another gift type card but this time with a Vintage feel. My goal was for this to look like a Christmas present (which is why it doesn't have any embellishments). However instead of having a boring To/From tag (lol) I stamped the adorable Maria from The Greeting Farm Roll Kit. I colored her up in a pretty red dress (just like my Fancy Anya card). She too is ready to hit the Christmas party circuit and live it up. lol.

I didn't add a sentiment to the front of the card (because of the concept) so I moved it to the inside. The sentiment reads: "WARNING. Christmas Presents. Do Not Shake." Cuuuute, right? This sentiment comes from Crafty Sprouts. Speaking of Crafty Sprouts: Please join us on the 7th for a Fun Hop!!

Holiday Greetings

Good Morning Scrappy Friends!! It is a good Sunday over on my side as the sun is shining, there's a cool breeze, i have my electricity and the crazy Santa Ana winds have moved on. It's the little things, although electricity is not so little. lol.

Image: Fancy Anya, The Greeting Farm
Sentiment: Have a Cool Yule, Crafty Sprouts

I'm sharing today my first card featuring the no dark lines technique. This is not my first attempt but it is my first that made it onto a card. lol. The first attempt was done with Distress Inks but that didn't work out, I kept getting blobs and in the end I lost some features. So I put it to the side and gave it a go with my pencils. Hoorah, I finished and I really love this look. :) I I need to figure out how to do this with my digis because I have some digis that would look fantastic without the black lines.

I'm playing along with:  Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Christmas with Pearls. FFC - Monday Funday #6 (Power of 3, I used 3 pearls).  Simon Says Stamp - Anything GoesAnyone for Anya - Christmas ChallengeRCC - Kraft, Red, Brown7Kids College Fund - Non Traditinal Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by! Ill be back with more Kraft goodness :)
Plus, Wednesday is a special Crafty Sprouts hop where we will be showcasing the latest release. Make sure to stop by :)

*************
I'm submitting this card as my Best Project of the Week (week 10 over at The Odd Girl). Although it was quite difficult to choose this time because I created 2 projects I'm really proud off, in the end the no lines technique won out.

Tag It! Round 2

WooHoo!! I'm doing the happy dance over here because a) it's Friday and b) the massive craaaaaaazy scary winds we had are over (knock on wood, I hope I'm not jinxing myself here).
Lol, ok so onto today's project. Today is our reminder day of our current Crafty Sprouts Challenge: Tag It! Create a Tag or use a Tag on your project. I created a set of Tags using these Greeting Farm cuties, WS Vivi and Beanie Anya. I was trying to create clean and simple tags that will be easy to mass produce and won't hurt me when they get tossed on Christmas Day. So far, I haven't found that tag yet. Lol. These took me a lot longer than expected but hey, then it wouldn't be me. :D

I hope you get to join us this challenge. You'll get a head start on your Holidays Tags and you get the chance to win an awesome prize: the SMILE ON set, one of the brand new Crafty Sprout sets. Speaking of, all IN STOCK sets are on sale for $12.50 with FREE shipping. Talk about GREAT VALUE!!! Stock is limited and the sale will last for a few days more.
