Pucker Up + More

Happy Monday Scrappy Friends. I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed it with a nice bbq (like I did) or a good craft-a-thon (like I should have)  lol. I have several things on my plate right now and I should have taken some time to take care of them but the sunshine was too good to pass up. The only thing that made me feel bummed was the fact that CHA is being held 20 minutes away from me and I cant go. Grrrrr.....

Now onto my Valentine project....  I wanted to play with the Frog theme for this V-Day project. I mean, who hasn't had their fare share of "frogs". So I created them with my oldest niece and sister in mind. I know they will get a chuckle out of these.

Picture 1: Valentine Day Project: Card & Chocolate Mini Box

Picture 2: Size 5 inches
Prismacolor Pencils

Picture 3: For my card, I used Froggie Thoughts from Tiddly Inks. This is a really cute set that brings the frog and some cute sentiments - such as the one I used: "The Things We Do For Love", don't you just love this sentiment?

I will be playing with Tiddly Inks Challenge - Quote Me. Use a favorite or special quote. The quote/sentiment I used I think is soo true for all of us. What don't we do for love?

Picture 4: Sweethearts Cart
Martha Stewart Punches

For my chocolate mini box I used the cutie frog from the Sweethearts cartridge. However, I think I made this poor little fella look like he was put through the ringer. I used PKS Everyday Faces (slightly altered) but when my alteration went awry, I decided to give him an eye patch. lol. Eh, I think he still looks cute with it. But I couldn't stop at the eye patch, so I decided to give the poor guy some freckles/frog spots. However, I went a little bizerk with the black pen and he ended completely covered with them. But I like it. It turned out to be one of those accidental good things :) :D. Handmade Sentiment Used, "Pucker Up Baby" (lol)

I'll be playing with:
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesdays - Sweethearts
Peachy Keen Stamps (Let's Face It Friday) - X's and O's
Wacky Wednesday - Brown, Green and Pink (Used for both items)

Flaunt It Fridays: Pup + Kitty and more

After taking 2 weeks off, I'm back for Flaunt It Fridays. This week we are working with the Pup & Kitty border from Paper Pups (page 104). As always, if you don't own the cartridge you can improvise (like I did). I still used an image from Paper Pups but I know that some of my DT sisters used other cartridges to make it work this week. Make sure you head over to check out their work.

Picture 1:
I created this tag for my niece's V-Day class project. I kept it very simple because (1) It needs to be reproduced for 20+ kids and (2) They are kids. lol. They won't appreciate all the hard work or extra embellishments. All they will care about are the goodies that will be attached to the tag.

Recipe
Tag - Walk In My Garden, Pup and Kitty - Paper Pups. (*I don't own these carts but I found these cuts on the Cricut Sampler Cartridge).
Friends and Oval Frame - A Child's Year

I would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all my new Scrappy Friends/Followers. I'm very happy to see that you liked my gothic cutie b-day card enough to click follow. I enjoy coloring digis and rubber stamps as much as I enjoy the cricut so I will be bringing you more coloring/cricut creations. If you ever have any questions regarding my coloring or anything, feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email.

"Just Be Me"

Good Morning Scrappy Friends. I wanted to share a card I made to play along with Tiddly Inks. Their challenge was "Just Be Me" - Create a card that represents who you are. Now that was a bit difficult to do because I couldn't really break it down to one picture. But last week I was lucky enough to win some images from Christy and I chose this one because I really loved the little girl/bug that is sleeping, relaxing and reading. I found this image appropriate to portray a bit of me because I enjoy relaxing, reading a good book and taking a delicious long nap :). Plus, It's also a good representation because i can be very carefree in other aspects of my life, sometimes a little to much. lol
Picture 1: Sunny HuggABug digi from Tiddly Inks

Picture 2: Sugar and Spice Cart used for base and layer

I'll be playing along with:
Tiddly Inks Challenge - Just Be Me
Simon Says Stamp Chellenge - Bingo (Ribbon, Brads and Flowers, I used brads for the center of the colored flowers )

Thanks!

**Now a side note: I hate having to do this but I just found out that some blog candy I gave away is being recycled and is being offered up as a bribe. Now if it would have been candy that I didn't care for I wouldn't be this upset but I gave away a set of Prismacolor Pencils and it was quite difficult for me to give them away. Those pencils are very special for me because as you know, they are what I use for my coloring and relaxation. However, I offered them up as blog candy because I wanted a fellow blogger/scrappy friend to enjoy them as much as I do. Now, I feel as if another Scrappy Friendfollower missed the opportunity to enjoy them. Am I being too sensitive?

KinderStampO's "34 Birthday Candles and Counting" Blog Hop

Hello Scrappy Friends. Welcome to KinderStampO's Big 34th Bday Celebration. Jessica lined up over 40 blogs for you to visit to get some birthday inspiration. The hop began at Jessica's blog, KinderStampO, and will end there as well. Ok, so lets get started....

You should be arriving from Jessica, Creative Stamper.
[Lovely name by the way, lol. And the host has an even lovelier name :)]

Today's birthday card project features one of my favorite tools (if you can call it that). Aside from using my cricut machine, I enjoy coloring digi stamps or rubber stamps. I find it relaxing to pull out my stamps and crayons and go at it as if I was still in elementary school. Granted I sometimes take over an hour to color an image such as this one but that's besides the point :)

Picture 1:
I chose this image because my bday is 2 weeks before Halloween and ever since I can remember, I've always had my birthday associated with the holiday. I even received an Orange Halloween cake from a friend on my 21st bday instead of a regular birthday cake. lol. So because of that, I like the cutie gothic bday images such as this one.
Picture 2: Pinky digi stamp from Tiddly Inks
Colored with my Prismacolor Pencils

RECIPE
A2 Size Base: 4.25x5.5
Layer 1: 4x5.25
Layer 2: 3x4.75
Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
Martha Stewart "Loopy Loop" Edge Punch
*I'm not certain of the name because I threw the packaging but it was something around that line.

In case you get lost, you can find the complete lineup at KinderStampO's blog.

Thank you Jessica for hosting this big bash and allowing me to be part of it. Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Hopping!

I {Heart} You, Part 2

I am back with another I{Heart}You project made for my beautiful niece. I know she is going to love this cute little altered canvas because she was stuck on me like glue when I was coloring in this gorgeous Lilith. So she saw the whole project except for her name and she was raving about it!!! So I'm extremely happy about that, especially since pink is a fave color of mine and not so much hers. Poor thing thinks that I made this to give away to someone else. She was bummed about so I know she will be extremely surprised when she finds this underneath the Valentine Day Tree.

Christmas Lolita Lilith rubber stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps Store
*** Please note: I slightly altered her. This is not the way she comes***
You must go over to the Tickled Pink Shop and check out all the beautiful Lolita stamps in stock.
This is an Altered Mini Canvas, Size 6x6.

I am playing along with:
Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge: I Heart You
Friday Sketchers: Sketch #137
Wee Memories: Ribbon
Stamp Something: Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by. As always I love to hear what you have to say.

Hello Card?

Good Evening Scrappy Friends. I hope you had a good holiday weekend and you were able to get back to your routine without much difficulty.

Today I wanted to share a cute, not so quick, card with you. I labeled my post "Hello Card?" because I'm still debating on what sentiment to use. I left the bottom left corner bare for this reason. I originally created this card to be used as a Hello card but now that I think of it, it can be used as a Birthday card, Thinking of You or Thank You card. I guess I can decided on that when it's time to mail it out.

Picture 1:
Cupcake Anya digi from The Greeting Farm
5.5x5.5 size

Picture 2: Today's card is a big one. I needed plenty of space to use my big headed cutie-patootie Anya :) I over estimated her size and it turned out she was much too big to fit on an A2 with all the embellishments. And I spent way to much time coloring her hair for me not to use her so here's a biggie. I decorated the inside with a lot of the features from the front. I like doing this to help eliminate some of the scraps.

Ill be playing with:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Sketch Time
Stamp Something - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by/commenting!!

For You, Thank You

Happy Sunday Scrappy Friends. I hope that you are enjoying you Holiday weekend. Today I wanted to share a quick Thank You card. I think it's time I started making them. I have been lagging and now I'm about 3 weeks behind. Lol.

Picture 1: Super Star Anya rubber stamp from The Greeting Farm
A2 Size Card

Picture 2: My first attempt at creating a pin. Let me tell you, they are a pain to make :)

Picture 3: I think I'm getting better at coloring hair. What do you think?

I'll be playing along with a few of my fave challenges:
Oh, Alice! - #46 Queen Alice (Who do you want ruling the kingdom? The red queen or the white queen?)
Wee Memories - #39 Ribbon
A Spoon Full Of Sugar - #134 Thank You
Anyone For Anya - Pretty Bows
SEI Challenge with Abby - #1 Laughter/Smile

Thank you for stopping by. As always I love reading your comments.

I {Heart} You

Hello Scrappy Friends. I wanted to share with you a card I created for my youngest niece. It will most likely be her valentine card but knowing me, I might make her a couple more before I decide which one to give her. She is the closest thing I have to a child. She's silly, she has a ton of fur babies (that sometimes are to many to take on a trip), she shares some of my likes - especially chocolate cake mmmmmmm (which is the only one in my family) and she's spoiled (to a certain extent). Yes we argue (haha as if she was an adult) but we make up. I'm there to "guard" her when she feels scared. And sometimes she drives me crazy. But I love her with all my heart. So this is for you Robin. Lol, I just realized I called her a thing.

Picture 1: Creeper Crew Tuesday rubber stamp
from The Greeting Farm
A2 Size Card

Picture 2: I used some of her favorite colors (although the pink is more for me but she'll still love it)

Picture 3:
I'd like to take this time to thank Kellie Winnell from Tickled Pink Stamps. I won this cutie, along with some gorgeous Lolitas, over the holidays from her stamp challenge. I'd like to point out that this stamp is from The Greeting Farm, but she also carries them in her Tickled Pink Shop. (Don't you just love that name) She also has other brands to choose from as well as her own (Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads)

I'll be playing along with the following challenges:
Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge - #2 I Heart You (I heart my niece)
Cupcake Craft Challenges - #124 Something New  (I'm playing with a new rubber stamp)
My Creative Time - Viewer's Choice with Hearts (I used Cricut Sampler for the hearts)
Music Mondays - Create a project inspired by an important person in my life

Alice In Wonderland

Good Morning Scrappy Friends. I hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying the fact that it is Wednesday already :) I would like to Thank all of you that came out to hop along with me on Friday. I know that it was one long lineup :) but Hello Kitty's cuteness couldn't be contained. I would also like to Thank all of you that became a Friend. I do hope you return because there are many things I would like to share with you.
Ok, onto my post. Today I want to share with you a very special theme that I love and enjoy very much:
 Alice in Wonderland
Picture 1: Time For Tea digi from Tiddly Inks
Size: 4x9 (Perfect for Business size envelope

Picture 2: I wanted to create a clean and simple card that can be for any age group. I also wanted Alice to be my focal point. And I wanted this card to have a Birthday present look, which is why I added the bow and ribbon I did. I will be playing along with Tiddly Inks this week. Their theme is "Refresh Me" (an All White Card, except for the image).
Ready for a Sneak Peek?
Since I'm also playing along with Stephanie, this week there is an amazing guest designer, Donna. She was my pick for this week and I chose her because of her love for Wonderland and because I think she is a fantastic crafter/artist. Every creation she pops up with is simply divine. She was one of the first bloggers that I followed and I am very happy that I did. She can create anything from creepy to elegant to cute. Here is a link to one of my favorite projects that she created last summer. I'm secretly hoping that one day my mail carrier will deliver an item that is similar, if not the original. Lol. Kidding Donna. Well not really :). But you know, Its polite to write that in. Lol.  So hop on over to Donna's blog and see what I'm raving about. I'm excited to see what creepy cuteness she created.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Flaunt It Fridays: Hello Kitty (Hop)

Good Morning Hoppers. Welcome to an all star Hello Kitty Blog Hop presented by Flaunt It Fridays.  We have 32 blogs showcasing various ways Hello Kitty was used. For our hops, we get to play with 2 different cuts. Our first cut, which is also the challenge cut, is Hello Kitty on the Airplane (which was presented to you at the Flaunt It Fridays site. Our 2nd cut is of our choice.  In addition to all this Hello Kitty love, there is over 20 new designers to inspire you today and every Friday to follow.

So lets get started. The hop begins at the Flaunt It Fridays site and ends with Jenny K. Today's hop is sponsored by Sarah from Pink Cricut. She donated "Love Always", one of her brand new Valentine sets. In order to qualify for the prize you must hop around to all 32 blogs and leave some bloggy love. You will have all weekend to comment and show your support for the FIF team.

You should be hopping over from Christina's blog.

Picture 1: Challenge Cut
Hello Kitty on Airplane from Hello Kitty Greetings Cart
A2 Size (5.5x4.25)

Picture 2: Sentiment: Safe Flight
For my 1st project, I created a Spinner Card for you. I thought it was a neat idea to have Kitty spinning across the clouds. This card was made for a young girl traveling alone. I don't know if any ever flew alone when you were young but I did. And on those occasions, I always felt comforted when I had a "thinking of you" type of token. It made the flight a little less scary and a lot more enjoyable.

Picture 3: Project Two
For my 2nd project, I chose the Hello Kitty Head and the Luggage Bag. I wanted to keep with the same theme so I created an ID Tag and a Luggage Tag. I attached the ID Tag to a Hello Kitty lanyard so little traveler can put it around her neck. And I used the Luggage Bag cut to make the Luggage Tag. (Lol)

I hope you enjoyed my projects and I inspired you to create something of your own. Remember that Mr. Linky will be up and running for you to also play along.

Now you are off to see what Denise created for you.

In case you get lost or sidetracked, you can always find the master list on the Flaunt It Fridays site.
And in case you didn't notice, there are a few giveaways happening on the top right side bar of my blog.
 THANKS!!!

Motherly Love

Hi Everyone! This is my first official Valentine's Day Card. I made this card with my sister and niece in mind. I thought that the image was adorable and that it represented them well. As for the 2nd one, that one is going to my mum. I'm her baby kangaroo :) And I know that she will love it. Plus, my mum feeds my addiction. Lol, I cant go to Michael's with her because she wont stop me. Instead she'll be there alongside me filling up the cart.

All cuts come from the Birthday Bash cart. I bought this one a while back but I had not gotten around to play with it. It's beyond adorable and its currently one of my faves. If you get to play with this cart, you wont be able to choose which cart you would like to create with first.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, I love reading your comments.

Toast The New Year Properly

Happy New Year!! I hope you had a fun and safe holiday and you are ready to begin 2011. I'm sure you've heard this everywhere but I'm just amazed at how quickly the year passed by. It seems like only yesterday I went to my first Michael's crop and I used the cricut machine for the very first time. I must go back. I think that's the best time to scrap because you get to enjoy the company of others while you fiddle around with a piece of paper and glue :)

I wanted to begin my crafting new year "Toasting It Properly" with a New Years Card using new techniques/items I'm not usto. Such as: Flowers, Glitter & Ribbon (not on this one but will make its debut in some that are coming up this week).  These items will be part of my new crafting resolution in addition to my others. As for my other crafting resolutions, I'd like to begin making videos, make 2 cards per project, lessen the time I spend on a card, open up an etsy shop, minimize my card making time, get a facebook account and reduce the time I spend on a card. lol.

I hope you like my card. I really do. Since I tend to toss or give away my cards or projects after a while, I really don't have much to show. So I do think that this would be a good one to begin my permanent collection.
And if you like this adorable image you can find her and many more at Tiddly Inks.
Picture 1: Toasting Properly Gossmere Digi from Tiddly Inks
5.5 inch Circle Base
Medallion & Flowers from the Lacy Labels Lite cart

I wanted to show a closeup of the bling/glitter. I like the way it came out and it's very appropriate for the occasion. I also wanted to show a closeup of her hair (I'm very proud because I think I'm making progress). I'm really trying to practice my coloring and get the effect of light & darkness.

I'm playing along with...
Tiddly Inks: New Years Card Event
Simon Says Stamp: Time To Party

Thank you for stopping by. As always, I love reading your comments.
