Just Because (Winter)

Hi Everyone.
I was testing myself to see if I could create a card in 30-60 minutes. I still can't seem to get there. I don't know where I'm going wrong, lol. Since my sister has started to make Christmas layouts, she got me into the spirit of it. So I decided to create a card that was inspired by my friend, her 3 kids & hubby. I was also trying to steer away from non-traditional colors but somehow I got sucked back into green and red. I should have used my crazy dp's. It would have brought life back to this card. Maybe that's where I go wrong. I take to long to choose the card stock, pattern paper, etc.

Picture 1: The front of the card. I originally had heat embossed the base of the card but i ruined it at the end so I had to chop it off, flip it over, scalloped it, inked it and then use it as my mat.

Picture 2: Closeup. I flocked all the snow people. Hopefully this picture gives you a glimpse of that. But I think it was a waste of time. I really don't think they needed it. They prob would have looked better had I gliterized them.

I am also entering this card into a couple of challenges:
My Pink Stamper - Winter Theme
Cricut Cardz - Use Scalloped Circles, Ovals, Squares, Etc
Paper Sundaes - Christmas in August

Thanks for stopping by/commenting!

What a sweet little snowman family you have there. The downfall of the papercrafter...too many papers to choose from. LOL Thanks for sharing your card with us at CCC.

This is really cute. Even though you had a lot of mishaps I was not able to tell. The card turned out great!

Great job on the card. I always take a bit to get my creative juices moving right. The card looks great even if you think it is not your best work. It is still adorable. We all have moments that our work doesn't turn out as great as we had envisioned and then there are days that I even surprise myself. Keep crafting and thanks for joining us at CCC.

I think this card is just beautiful! And I think the flocking added that little extra touch. You really dont see people flocking alot lately! I love that there was more than just one snowman, instead you made a whole family! Great Job. Thanks for playing along with CCC!!

Jess, I love this card! The snowmen are adorable and I love that you flocked them. Not a waste of time in my opinion, it added great texture to them. What cartridge did you get them from? Also what does dps mean. I would not worry too much about the time it takes to make a card. It takes me a long time too, I used to get upset about, but then I realized that I am not in a race and to relax!
