Happy Halloween!! I hope you are enjoying yourselves and are getting ready to gorge on all the yummy chocolates the kiddies will be bringing home. I'm choosing this card as My Best Project of the Week for Week #5. This is a linky party held by Kristy, owner of Some Odd Girl. I chose this one because the image (Dancing Mae) brings a smile to my face everytime I see her. Plus I like that it is a cheerful card and I used colors outseide my comfort zone.

Do I Scream Summer?

Hi Scrappy Friends! Do you ever come across images (digi, stamp or cricut cut) that you like but you feel as if you cant use them because they are seasonal? I do. Do you think it's fair to wait over half a year to be able to use them? I don't. So because of that I like to alter my images to give them new life (whenever I can).

Take this image for example: this is Beachy Tia, a summer image from Some Odd Girl. I decided to omit her body (which is dressed in a bathing suit) and chop off one of her arms. It isn't a drastic change but it's something. So what do you think? Does she still scream Summer? Because in my head, i still see the bathing suit. Lol!

Today is my day and I bring you a bookmark. I went to Barnes and Noble over the weekend with a friend and her daughter was insisting that she needed another bookmark (to add to the lost collection). Its a lost collection because my friend has bought her over 10 bookmarks in the past month and they all seem to be missing. I think they went on a journey with the lost socks from the dryer. Lol.  Anyways I decided to make her a bookmark to add to her lost collection. Since she is already a pre-teen I wanted to make it a bit fancy and interactive. The sentiment moves around. Now when she comes to a part of the book that she finds boring, well she will have something to distract her for a few moments. Lol.

Happy Weekend! I hope that you are enjoying yourselves wherever you may be. Ok so I'm slowly making progress in my stack of cards that will be donated to the "Hope To Cling To" event. This organization sends a little cheer to patients that are currently dealing with Breast Cancer and when it comes to that, I always want to be involved in one way or another. I'm hoping to complete the quota (1 card a day) but so far I'm behind by like 15 days. Lol.

Candy Goes Here

Good Morning!! It is Friday (Yay!!) and it also DT Friday over at Crafty Sprouts.  The challenge is to create any kind of treat container. Last week, all the gals provided Halloween inspiration but this time around you'll see a variety with a little Christmas thrown in the mix. Happy Thursday!! Here is one of the cards I'm working on to send off to ladies that are currently battling Breast Cancer. This subject hits close to home so I always like to send off a little cheer whenever I can. I'm hoping that this cute Cheeky (which by the way, I just love that whole Cheeky Cherry line--Oh who am I kidding, I just love the farm Period! I mean how can I not?) Happy Friday!! I hope you had a good week. We had some rain here and well that caused some power outage problems for me. I was without power for half a day. And to make matters worse, my laptop was at 20% battery and so was my iPad so when they died out on me too, It was sheer torture. Lol. See my experience as a learning one and always charge your beloved tech toys. :D

Ok so today is DT Friday at Crafty Sprouts, however it is a special DT day. We still have our current Color Challenge open (Red, Black and Slimey Green) but today, a new one was added to the mix. Erika is also having a special Card Drive Challenge for Sweet Betty's son, Christian, that was diagnosed with Stage 1 Throat Cancer. You can read all about that HERE. The prize are 2 new Fall Jude and the Rockers clear stamps.

Today is Special SBS Release Day featuring Jude and the Rockers, Fall Line. However with this Special Release also comes some very sad news. Betty (the owner) has recently found out that her son is very ill and will be undergoing a lot of medical treatment. All us Betty gals have faith that her son will recover however with all that treatment, comes a lot of hospital bills. With that said, Betty has marked down  a lot of her stamps and has digis for sales.
We Betty gals are asking for a bit of help. If you ever wanted to own any Betty stamps, this is the moment to buy because buying will bring you some new crafting goodies and will help Betty and her son.
